"SLEEP WELL LITTLE ONE!!"
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-Your interest should be in the future since that is where you will spend the rest of your life-
2-When you jump to conclusions you often jump over facts-
3-If the shoes fits you are not allowing for growth-
4-If you make no mistakes you're not doing anything-
5-Nothing is a waste that makes a good memory-

Strange thought-a pedestrian is a man with one car and a son in high school-

I've learned-if you want to do something positive for your children, try to improve your marriage-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-If you forgive someone do you then have to like them?
2-The things we ask God for, do they only come as answers to prayer?
3-How do you live in grace?
4-Can we abuse God's grace?
5-Does one act of sin negate years of Christian living?

1-Success is more attitude than aptitude-
2-The best thing you can give your children is your time-
3-We usually fear things in proportion to our ignorance of them-
4-A real friend is one who when you've made a fool of yourself doesn't feel like you've done
a permanent job-
5-Your lot in life should be used for building not parking-

Strange thought-if you put the cart before the horse you can't find the reins-

I've learned-everything sounds romantic in a foreign language no matter what is said-

1-Does light dispel darkness or does darkness dispel light?
2-Does God bless the unsaved also?
3-Is there anything God cannot do?
4-Should christians have higher self esteem than others?
5-Did Jesus believe in religious tolerance?

1-You have to do your own growing up no matter how tall your father was-
2-Experience is the hardest teacher, you get the test first and the lesson afterwards-
3-One thing you give and still keep is your word-
4-Experience usually teaches you something you didn't want to know-
5-Life is not a problem to be solved but a gift to be enjoyed-

Strange thought-if you want the good old days, turn off your electricity and cell phone and park
your car-

I've learned-the body has a miraculous capacity to heal itself-

5 things I want to know
1-Should a husband be a servant or a leader?
2-Can christians be completely consistent?
3-Does the holy spirit ever stop dealing with us?
4-Can a Christian ever enter any bonding relationship with a non Christian?
5-How quickly is purity destroyed?

1-Talk is cheap because the supply exceeds the demand-
2-Even if you are on the right track you will get run over if you just sit there-
3-In just two days tomorrow will be yesterday-
4-A good time to keep your mouth shut is when you are deep water-
5-Nobody says "it is just a game" when they are winning-

Strange thought-we complain our days are few and act as though there is no end to them-

I've learned-you shouldn't fight a battle if there is nothing to win-

1-How do you learn to forgive?
2-Is sit easier to have a positive or negative attitude?
3-What is the "joy of the Lord"?
4-How can an intelligent and sane person not be a Christian?
5-Is the word submission related to weakness?

of behavior?

1-How do we know if we are obeying God in everything?
2-Is church attendance necessary for Christian living?
3-Is there sanctification without consecration?
4-What does it mean to be "holy" or "perfect"?
5-Is there any morality away from the 10 commandments?

I've learned-no one makes as good a potato salad as your mother (or wife)

1-Can Christians be free of all prejudices?
2-Is all prejudice sinful?
3-Are harmony and unity the same?

4-It is not how many hours you work, it is how much work you put into the hours that count-

I've learned-when a man with money meets a man with experience, the man with experience
ends up with the money, and the man with money ends up with experience-

1-What is the "power" the Holy Spirit gives us?
2-Is it okay to say "there but for the grace of God go I"?
3-Why do many children have low self esteem?
4-Can we have peace with God but not with ourselves?
5-Is the feeling of guilt learned or inherited?

Here are my thoughts for today-
1-Expecting a positive result doesn't improve your chances of getting what you want but it
makes the waiting much more pleasant-
2-Volunteers aren't paid because they are worthless but because they are priceless-
3-You are poor when you can't enjoy the simple things of life-
4-Put everything is God's hands and you will soon see God's hand in everything-
5-A laugh a day is good for the heart-

Strange thought-horse sense comes from stable thinking-

I've learned-it is impossible to teach without learning something yourself-

5 things I want to know-
1- Does backsliding break fellowship or the relationship?
2-Can faith be generated?
3-Were the miracles that Jesus did done by him or the holy spirit?
4-Why are we so timid in sharing Jesus with others?
5-How do you know when the Holy Spirit is working in your life?

1-Is not telling the truth the same as lieing?
2-Are certain personalities more inclined to become Christians?
3-Why are people put down who challenge established thinking?
4-Do we have to receive salvation to appreciate it?
5-Is there a difference in brainwashing and teaching?

4-One of the hardest things about the business of life is minding your own-
5-You may be disappointed if you fail but you are doomed if you don't try-

Good thought-things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least!!

I've learned-going the extra mile puts you miles ahead of the competition

1-Why did forgiveness of sins require a blood sacrifice?
2-Are repentance and surrender conditions of salvation?
3-Is salvation unconditional or conditional?
4-Can we have Jesus as savior and not have him as Lord?
5-Does prayer change the will of God?

4-How much does our environment influence our behavior?

2-Are we more concerned about leaving our children an inheritance or a heritage?

1-Are sincere Christians automatically living their life according to God's plan for their life?
2-Do most Christians allow Jesus to be their Lord?

5-When things come with strings attached, be sure you tie up loose ends-

I've learned-being too quick to judge someone can deprive you of a great encounter and the possibility of
a wonderful long term relationship-

1-Is fear the opposite of love?
2-Does to love mean to always forgive?
3-Is not to forgive not to love?
4-Can you have freedom from anger without forgiveness?
5-What makes it possible to "turn the other cheek"

Wednesday March 5, 2008 thought for the day


"FOR ME HE DIED"
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-Christianity is not a good life, it is the better life-
2-The trouble with being in the rat race is that even when you win you are still a rat-
3-Giving love to get love means giving love in response to coldness and returning anger with love-
4-Your friends who matter don't judge you and those who judge you don't matter-
5-Patience is most important when you are at the point of losing it-

Strange thought-your mind is like a parachute, it works only when open-

I've learned-it is easier to keep up than to catch up-

5 things I want to know
1-If we could see the world as Jesus sees it, would we live differently?
2-Is Christian love a feeling or a set of behaviors?
3-Does "loving your enemies" mean liking them?
4-If we 'd love the unlovable, might we also start liking them?
5-Does not hating someone mean we love them?

Tuesday March 4, 2008 thought for the day



"LEARNING TO PRAY"
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-Most of our loving is done out of a sense of duty-
2-Christians should stand for life not for the convenience of death-
3-Jesus accepts you as you are but loves you enough to refuse to leave you there-
4-Regular kneeling will keep you in good standing-
5-Just because you never did does not mean you couldn't or won't-

Strange thought-ideas won't work unless "I" do-

I've learned-if you smile at people, they most always will smile back-

5 things I want to know-
1-What does it mean to be "salt of the earth" and "light of the world"?
2-Why do we react with fear to situations that are unusual?
3-Is peace the absence of conflict or the absence of fear?
4-Do our beliefs determine our attitude?
5-If we believe God is in control, why do we get stressed?

Today's Scripture
There are those who scatter abroad, yet increase more…(Proverbs 11:24).

Monday March 3, 2008 thought for the day


"PIANO KITTY"
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-God will never ask too much of you-
2-What you give your attention to will shape your life and ultimately determine your destiny-
3-When I face up to the glory of God, I fall down in his presence-
4-When death comes, it is only for the best if Jesus is in the equation-
5-Vanity-spending money you don't have to buy things you don't need to impress people you
don't know-

Strange thought-you lie the loudest when you lie to yourself-

I've learned-although there may be reasons to be cynical, it never helps correct the situation-

5 things I want to know-
1-Are Christians guilty of religious pride?
2-Do people go to hell for sinning or unbelief in Jesus?
3-Should church services be designed toward stimulation and excitement or programmed
meditaiton?
4-Is worship praising or meditating?
5-Is there any relationship between our spiritual life and the amount of stress we experience?

Today's Scripture
Let the Lord be magnified Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant (Psalm 35:27).

Sunday March 2, 2008 thought for the day


HERE ARE SOME "RAG DOLLS" FOR MY DAUGHTER-HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM!
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-Isn't it interesting that Jesus was given myrrh both at his birth and also at this death-
2-It is of utmost importance to avoid all actions and plans that may have potentially harmful consequences-
3-It is always the right time to do the right thing-
4-Wonder about the creation, worship the creator-
5-The sun can be very difficult when you sit in darkness all your life-

Strange thought-one thing you can't recycle is wasted time-

I've learned-if your mother made something with Miracle Whip, you don't like it when it is made with mayonnaise-

5 things I want to know
1-Is peace of mind learned or imparted?
2-Are Christians predestined to be saved?
3-What does it mean to be redeemed?
4-Is our salvation free or is there a price for us to pay?
5-Do we have to be "good" to receive salvation?

Scripture for today-"For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him" (John 3:17)

PS-it is good to be back after a week vacation with daughter and family in the Shennandoah
Valley in Virginia--maybe spring is coming!!!can we dare hope for that to happen???
