HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-We do not love God because of what he does for us but rather because of who he is-

2-Most of us don't see miracles because most of us don't need them-

3-God doesn't love me because I love him.  He loves me just as I am-

4-It is your attitude under suffering that makes you victorious-

5-God never demands a meaningless sacrifice-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Never get off a train when you are going through a tunnel-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Worrying keeps us from real challenges God wants us to pursue-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Salt is the only rock humans can eat-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Who are the two witnesses during the great tribulation?

2-Is there any time of rejoicing during the great tribulation?

3-In scripture what does "Lucifer" mean?

4-How and when did satan change himself into an angel of light?

5-How was satan able to deceive one third of heaven's angels to follow him?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said  “I have never had my hair cut, because I have been set apart to God as a Nazarite since I was born. If someone shaved my head, I would lose my strength and be as weak as any other man.”?

1-Shared joy is a double joy, shared sorrow is half a sorrow-

2-God can take away your bitterness and resentment and give you forgiving love in its place-

3-God will never give you an inspiration in your mind or heart that is contrary to his Word-

4-I never knew how it felt to feel so good until Jesus came into my life-

5-If you don't deny self, you will deny Jesus-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-The bigger a man's head gets the easier it is to fill his shoes-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Worrying shows a lack of faith in and and understanding of God-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The US government spent $277,000 on "pickle research" in 1993-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-In scripture what is "the lake of fire"?

2-In scripture, what are the "beatitudes of revelation"?

3-In scripture does the term "the time is near" mean the event mentioned will occur immediately?

4-Revelations says "surely I am coming quickly".  It has been 2000 years since this was recorded.  What time frame was meant?

5-How can we say that "God is in control" when so much of the world is out of control?

Father, I don't want to live like I am stuck in a ditch, feeling like my life has lost meaning and purpose.  I want to press on with you.  Thank you for the victories as well as the valleys of the past.  Let me learn from them and move forward.  Thank you that you have good plans for me.  I choose to walk by faith, and I am excited about today.  Amen-

1-The happiest people in the world are those who are giving people-

2-Don't give God instructions, just report for duty-

3-The only prayer that God hears is the prayer of faith-

4-There are no exclusive groups or excluded groups in Jesus-

5-To become, acts as if-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Good judgement comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgement-

 

I'VE LEARNED-God does not ignore those who depend on him-

 

DID YOU KNOW-No two cornflakes look the same-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-How did Mary know that Jesus could turn water into good wine?

2-Did Mary's mentioning the wine shortage problem to Jesus change his mind about revealing his power at this event?

3-Most people suffer from small thoughts about God.  In an effort to see God as our friend, have we lost his greatness and majesty?

4-How do you explain the why and when of God's healing?

5-In scripture , what is "the bottomless pit"?

1-The weaker our spirit the greater God's support-

2-Don't be stubborn, be steadfast-

3-Don't do the right thing for the wrong reason-

4-There is no resurrection without a crucifixion-

5-Christianity is primarily a state of being, a state of doing will automatically follow-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-There are three kinds of men-

 a-The ones that learn by reading-

 b-The few who learn by observation-      

 c-The rest of them have to touch the electric fence and find out for themselves-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Worrying is more harmful than helpful-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The wheat that produces a one pound loaf of bread requires two tons of water to grow-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Should we stand in awe and respect of God when we pray or excited as a little child acts when they see their daddy?

2-What part of God holds the universe together?

3-Has God ever been caught off guard?

4-Was there any human that knew Jesus better than his mother Mary?  If not, why wasn't there more written about her in scripture?

5-At the wedding where the wine ran out, why does it appear that Jesus was so curt with his mother when she mentions it to him?

5-Hearing and doing go hand in hand-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-The quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back into your pocket-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Worrying about your future hampers your efforts for today-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Shredded Wheat was the first ready to eat breakfast cereal-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Why would God place a tree in the Garden of Eden and then forbid Adam/Eve from eating it?

2-Why didn't God make Eve also from the ground as he did Adam?

3-In creation, from what did God create all the animals and birds?

4-What did Jesus mean saying "Unless you become as little children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven."  How do we do that?

5-How does God prefer to be addressed?

4-Wise counsel is never popular, rarely obeyed and seldom remembered-   

5-God focuses on the ultimate not the immediate-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Don't fur line the pig pen-

 

I'VE LEARNED-The same God who created life in you can be trusted with the details of your life-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Rice is grown on more than 10 percent of the earth's farmable surface and is the main food for half of the people of the world-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-When the five loaves and two fish were blessed by Jesus to feed the five thousand people, how many of each were provided in order to feed them all?

2-At the feeding of the five thousand from the five loaves and two fish, did they have nothing to drink?

3-Is there anything beyond eternity?

4-When speaking to a crowd, Jesus used stories to teach them God's message.  Scripture also says that when he was alone with his disciples Jesus explained "everything to them".  Why were these things not explained in scripture for us to understand things more fully also?

5-What is the relationship between acting in faith and waiting in prayer?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said “But, God, can you really live here on the earth? The sky and the highest place in heaven cannot contain you. Surely this house which I have built cannot contain you."

I'VE LEARNED-Planning for tomorrow is time well spent, worrying about tomorrow is time wasted-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Rice is thrown at a wedding as a symbol of fertility-

1-If you admire the rainbow after the rain, then why not love again after the pain?

2-Did God have a conversation with Jesus telling him he would be sent to earth as a baby and would grow up to be the savior of mankind?

3-What were God's last word to Jesus before sending him to the earth?

4-Why is music so powerful?  It can cause praise, anger, love, happiness, sorrow, etc. depending on the style of music you listen to?

5-I hold my possessions loosely because it hurts when God pries my fingers open and takes them from me-

I'VE LEARNED-Worry immobilizes us but concern moves us to action-

 

DID YOU KNOW-There are more than fifteen thousand different kinds of rice-

1-If John the Baptist was so important to Jesus, why didn't he save him from being beheaded or bring him back to life?

2-Do Christians have to suffer sickness and pain in order to learn some of Christianity's lessons?

3-If we could condense all the truths of Christmas into only three words, what would they be?

4-How many angels left heaven with satan when he rebelled against God?

5-Where in scripture does it say "The Lord works in mysterious ways"?

I'VE LEARNED-We should not be fascinated with our possessions, lest they possess us-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Chewing gum while peeling onions will keep you from crying-

1-How many robes (change of clothing) did Jesus have?

2-Did Jesus and his disciples do their own laundry?

3-When Jesus was doing ministry, where did he eat and sleep?

1-Mercy is God's ministry to the miserable-

3-Faith is not acceptance without proof it is trust without reservation- 

4-To love at all is to be vulnerable-

5-It doesn't take a great athlete to be a good sport-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-There are two theories to arguing with a woman and neither one works-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Whenever we ask God to forgive our sins, we should ask ourselves "Have I forgiven those who have wronged me".

 

DID YOU KNOW-Nutmeg is extremely poisonous if injected intravenously-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Can or does Jesus forgive our sin before it is committed?

2-Does Jesus forgive us of our "inbred sin/old nature"?

3-Does Jesus forgive us of our sins or does God do so through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus?

4-Why do Christians spend so much effort and money to better themselves or acquire more new things?

5-What does it mean to "life a holy life"?

5-It is never too late to start doing what is right-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Never kick a cow chip on a hot day-

 

I'VE LEARNED-All Christians struggle with temptation-

 

DID YOU KNOW-You should not eat a crawfish with a straight trail.  It was dead before it was cooked-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Is there one scripture verse that summarizes Jesus' life?

2-If I have the mind of Christ, why do I still have so bad thoughts-

3-Can we be saved and still have our hearts and mind unchanged?

4-Was it hard for Jesus to trust Thomas knowing he would one day question Jesus' resurrection?

5-Was Jesus ever disappointed in any of his disciples beside Peter and Thomas?

5-Marriage is a total commitment to an imperfect person-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Never slap a man who is chewing tobacco-

 

I'VE LEARNED-God doesn't lead us into temptation, but he sometimes allows us to be tested by them-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The liquid inside young coconuts can be used as a substitute  for blood plasma in an emergency-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Is it possible to live minute by minute in the presence of God?

2-How do we get a hope filled heart?

3-What does it mean "to see Jesus"?

4-Wherever did we get the idea we cannot change?

5-What was Jesus' one main goal in his life?

4-The good life exists only when you stop wanting a better one-

5-Christianity is not a religion but a personal relationship to Jesus Christ-

I'VE LEARNED-If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself-

 

DID YOU KNOW-A company in Taiwan makes dinnerware out of wheat, so you can eat your plate-

1-When Jesus washed the disciples feet, did he use the same water for all 12 disciples?

2-Did Jesus forgive the disciples of their sin before their becoming a disciple?

3-Was it hard for Jesus to love Peter, knowing Peter would one day curse him?

4-Did Jesus ever have a desire to replace any of his disciples?

5-Why did Jesus often withdraw to lonely places to pray?

1-Children are always the only future the human race has-

2-Common sense is instinct-enough of it is genius-

3-Marriage is like taking vitamins-we supplement each others minimum daily requirements-

4-No one can make you feel inferior without your consent-

5-Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Time is what keeps everything from happening at once-

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-All relationships of value begin with commitment-

2-Faith is most meaningful when expressed in the dark-

3-Hiding wrong won't erase it for it only postpones its discovery-

4-A man's judgement is only as good as his information-

5-God gave us memories so we might have roses in December-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-In order to have great happiness, you have to have great pain and unhappiness, otherwise how would you know when you are happy-

 

I'VE LEARNED-It is hard to walk in shifting sand-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The glue on Israeli postage stamps is certified kosher-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Does "eternal life" have to do with duration of life or with quality of life?

2-If we never act on our beliefs, can we say that we truly value them?

3-What is the difference in tolerance and accommodation?

4-We need to ask ourselves "Are there any relationships in our life that are thirsty for mercy".

5-How did Jesus worship?  If it was different from ours, why is ours different?

1-He cannot long be good who knows not why he is good-

2-It is not a simple thing to open our lives to others but until we do we will never have a relationship of much value-

3-Ask you child what he wants for dinner only if he is buying-

4-Your care for others is the measure of your greatness-

5-Jesus definition of love-giving and serving-

STRANGE THOUGHT-People say that money isn't the key to happiness , but if you have enough money, can you have a key made?

I'VE LEARNED-If a seasoning has no flavor, it has no value-

DID YOU KNOW-More than half of the difference types of cheese in the world come from France-

1-Does God bless deceit?

2-Did Jesus have any unanswered prayer?

3-Does Jesus still speak audibly to people today?

4-Just what is the "abundant life" Jesus talked about?  

5- If the rebellious angels were thrown out of heaven, why didn't God put them on a planet outside of our galaxy?

STRANGE THOUGHT-If I can say the word "sooth",  does that make me a soothsayer?

 

I'VE LEARNED-Life isn't tied with a bow but it still is a gift-
