37 They even killed their sons and daughters as sacrifices to demons.
38 They killed innocent people, their own sons and daughters, as sacrifices to the idol of Canaan. So the land was made unholy by their blood.
39 The people became unholy by their sins; they were unfaithful to God in what they did.

5 Let me see the good things you do for your chosen people. Let me be happy along with your happy nation; let me join your own people in praising you.
6 We have sinned just as our ancestors did. We have done wrong; we have done evil.
7 Our ancestors in Egypt did not learn from your miracles. They did not remember all you kindnesses, so they turned against you at the Red Sea.
8 But the Lord saved them for his own sake, to show his great power.
9 He commanded the Red Sea, and it dried up. He led them through the deep sea as if it were a desert.
10 He saved them from those who hated them. He saved them from their enemies,
11 and the water covered their foes. Not one of them escaped.
12 Then the people believed what the Lord said, and they sang praises to him.

I'VE LEARNED-Conviction is worthless unless it is converted into conduct-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why do we know nothing about Jesus' childhood except for his temple visit with his parents?
2-Did Jesus need a religious upbringing as a child?
3-Are there authentic records in existence that would tell of Jesus' life before the age of 30?
4-Did Jesus do nothing "special" in his childhood, teens or 20's worthy of recording?
5-Would Jesus' childhood friends or neighbors have know who he really was?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Where were the disciples first called Christians?
Yesterday's answer-the raven (Genesis 8:7)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 105:26-36
26 Then he sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 They did many signs among the Egyptians and worked wonders in Egypt.
28 The Lord sent darkness and made the land dark, but the Egyptians turned against what he said.
29 So he changed their water into blood and made their fish die.
30 Then their country was filled with frogs, even in the bedrooms of their rulers.
31 The Lord spoke and flies came, and gnats were everywhere in the country.
32 He made hail fall like rain and sent lightning through their land.
33 He struck down their grapevines and fig trees, and he destroyed every tree in the country.
34 He spoke and grasshoppers came; the locusts were too many to count.
35 They ate all the plants in the land and everything the earth produced.
36 The Lord also killed all the firstborn sons in the land, the oldest son of each family.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Great Christians develop through great trials-
2-Priorities never come automatically, they must be developed-
3-Claim God's grace regardless-
4-We must forgive--even ourselves-
5-Our love for God causes us to depend on God which causes us to obey God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Faith is like calories, you can't see it but you can see the results-

I'VE LEARNED-People are lonely because they build wall instead of bridges-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Would Jesus have operated his father's carpenter shop after his father's death?
2-Did Jesus live with his mother and or siblings until starting his 3 year ministry?
3-When Joseph died, who supported Mary and her family?
4-Would Mary ever have remarried?
5-Why do we not know when Joseph died?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the first animal out of the ark?
Yesterday's answer-Enoch, after Cain's son (Genesis 4:17)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 105:16-25
16 God ordered a time of hunger in the land, and he destroyed all the food.
17 Then he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18 They put chains around his feet and an iron ring around his neck.
19 Then the time he had spoken of came, and the the Lord's words proved that Joseph was right.
20 The king of Egypt sent for Joseph and freed him; the ruler of the people set him free.
21 He made him the master of his house; Joseph was in charge of his riches.
22 He could order the princes as he wished. He taught the older men to be wise.
23 Then his father Israel came to Egypt; Jacob live in Egypt.
24 The Lord made his people grow in number, and he made them stronger than their enemies.
25 He caused the Egyptians to hate his people and to make plans against his servants.

ALL WE HAVE TO BE THANKFUL FOR

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Over the long haul, it is impossible to give away more than you receive-
2-It is not where you are that counts, it is the direction you are heading-
3-The world loves things and uses people, the Christian loves people and use things-
4-Jesus warns against worry, not against work-
5-God does provide but we must work with what he has given us-

STRANGE THOUGHT-You can't cross a chasm in two small jumps-

I'VE LEARNED-Burn the candles, use the nice sheets. Don't save it for a special occasion for today is special-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did the Holy Family travel to Nazareth the same way they went to Egypt?
2-Could something that Jesus the carpenter have made still be in existence today?
3-Who was taking care of Mary when Jesus went into ministry?
4-How old was Jesus when Joseph dies?
5-How old was Mary when she died?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the first city called?
Yesterday's answer-Pharaoh (Genesis 41:42)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 105:8-15
8 He will keep his agreement forever; he will keep his promises always.
9 He will keep the agreement he made with Abraham and the promise he made to Isaac.
10 He made it a law for the people of Jacob; he made it an agreement with Israel to last forever.
11 The Lord said, "I will give you the land of Canaan and it will belong to you."
12 Then God's people were few in number. They were strangers in the land.
13 They went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another.
14 But the Lord did not let anyone hurt them; he warned kings not to harm them.
15 He said, "Don't touch my chosen people, and don't harm my prophets."
