HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-Great faith usually comes from great trials-

2-The land of promise to Abraham had become a land of famine-

3-If you are self directed, you will never get far on your journey of faith-

4-Our greatest problem today is a lack of awe and respect for God-

5-You show respect for the Bible by reading it and following it's instructions-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Toothache is the pain that drives you to extraction-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If your heart is full of God's love,  you'll always have something to give-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Skunks have more than smell to protect themselves.  They can withstand five times the snake venom that would kill a rabbit-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Was Noah's family the only one at the time of the great flood that God considered righteous.  Of all the other people in the world, was there no one else that God approved of?

2-How did the Old Testament people earn the term "righteous"?

3-How many years after the creation of mankind did the great flood come?

4-What was the Jewish leaders reaction to the temple curtain being torn in two from the top to the bottom at Jesus death?

5-How could Jesus have withstood 39 whip lashes without bleeding to death?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-How did God first appear to Moses?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY      John 4:10-15

¹⁰ Jesus said, “If you only knew the free gift of God and who it is that is asking you for water, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Jesus, we proclaim You to be the King of Kings and Lord of lords.  Help us to boldly declare this glorious message, not only in a setting where we find receptive listeners, but also to a hostile world that is building its perishable kingdom here on earth. May we be full of conviction and infused with Your power as we courageously tell others “There is another King, one called Jesus.”  You’ve called us to be light in a world full of darkness. You’ve also enjoined us to be peacemakers. Sometimes when we take a stand for righteousness it does not bring peaceful resolution, but instead further conflict arises. Then we go through a surge of emotions and doubts begin to arise regarding our stand.  Would You help us to be diligent in our study, prayerful about our stand, and immersed in Your Holy Word.  May we not stand in our own strength or be led by aimless ambition. Lord, as we take a position against the evil tide of our land help us to be unapologetic in our stand, consistent in our Christian walk, and loving in our approach. May we, by example and word, say to the fallen world that we serve not the god of this age, but we serve a King who is ageless and eternal. In Your strength alone we stand. Amen.

1-The God we serve is the God who seeks us-

2-Our relationship with God should be one of a romance-

3-When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change-

4-Because of sin, grace came through Jesus-

5-GRACE-God's Riches At Christ's Expense-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-A skeleton is a bunch of bones with the person scraped off-

 

I'VE LEARNED-It is possible to give away and become richer.  It is also possible to hold on too tightly and lose everything-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The horns of a big horn sheep can weigh forty pounds-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Why did God postpone the destruction of the earth for 120 years for Noah to build the ark?

2-Who were the Nephilum and from where did they come?

3-If God grieved that mankind had turned out so wicked and thus wanted to destroy them, why was he also going to destroy all the living creatures besides mankind?

4-Why was God so surprised that mankind had turned out so evil?

5-For 120 years, did Noah and sons do anything else besides working on the ark?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-What did the cherubim use to guard the entrance to Eden?

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, help us to contend with those obstacles that are a part of our strict training so that we will receive an everlasting crown.  Help us to patiently endure and prayerfully endear the important truths You teach us in our spiritual training. We want to hold on to Your unchanging hand as we build our lives not on the shifting sands of time, but on that which will never perish! Amen.

1-The Jews not only have a history with God, they also have a future-

2-Defining moments in our life determine who we are-

3-God did not say "be kind" or "be loving" because I am so but "be holy" because I am holy-

4-God's holiness finds expression in truth and grace-

5-If we say that God is simply love, it is not true-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-a secret is something you tell to one person at a time-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Charity gives itself rich, covetousness hoards itself poor-

 

DID YOU KNOW-There are close to 100 million sheep in Iceland-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Is it possible or probable that the genealogical listings in the Old Testament may not list every succeeding generation and therefore may omit hundred of years of mankind's history?

2-How many children did Adam and Eve have in their lifetime.  How many boys and girls?

3-How could the early Genesis people have possibly lived as long as Genesis states?

4-Why did Enoch live such a short life as compared to his older family members?

5-Who were the "sons of God" and "daughters of men" that married each other in Genesis 6?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-According to Revelation, where is the place reserved for those who names are not in the book of life?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Ephesians 4:29-32

PRAYER FOR TODAY

 

Father, we recognize that we are overcomers because we are children of God.  The battles we conquer and the ultimate victory we attain in our lifetime is wholly because of the power of Christ at work in us. We are more than conquerors through Jesus who loves us and gave His life for our sins.  Thank you for the inexhaustible supply of Your grace, power, and provision for our salvation and our steadfast walk with You in the ensuing battles of daily life.


 TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN.  BE A BLESSING.  BE A FRIEND.  ENCOURAGE SOMEONE.  TAKE TIME TO CARE.  LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!

1-God doesn't expect perfection but does expect behavior that will serve as a testimony to others that they are devoted to God-

2-Jesus death is a graphic reminder of how serious sin is.  It is serious enough to warrant the death penalty-

3-In the eyes of a holy God, sin is a capital offense-

4-The story of Ruth shows that Israel's greatest dynasty of kings came from a mixed marriage-

5-The Jewish nation chosen by God was not just for privilege but to become a light that draws people from all over the world to God-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-A raison is a grape with a sunburn-

 

I'VE LEARNED-The most difficult thing to give away is kindness for it is usually returned-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Lanolin, an essential ingredient of many expensive cosmetics, is, in its native form, a foul smelling, waxy, tar like substance extracted from the fleece of sheep-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-At what point in human history did marrying family members become incest?

2-Did Adam and Eve pair off their sons and daughters to start new family units?

3-Cain had a son named Enoch and Seth had a son named Enosh.  Is there any connection to the similarities in the spelling of their names?

4-Did the men of the Old Testament times really live to be 100's of years old (as we now use calendar years)?

5-Was Enoch really removed from the earth without dying?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-What did the seraph touch the trembling Isaiah's tongue with?

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Jesus, though Satan’s temptations swirl about me in many forms and in various venues I resist the enemy’s desire to reside in my life.  Even as the devil seeks to wrap his noxious tentacles around my heart, I stand firm against him because You, Jesus, are the Protector of my soul, who stands guard at all times.  I am grateful for the warning signals often repeated throughout the Bible that teach me about Satan’s strategy. Thank You for Your still, small voice regularly reminding me that I am a child of God purchased by Your life-giving blood.  May everything that passes before my eyes and all activities I engage in reflect the light of Your redeeming love within me. It is through Your power that I resist the devil and stand firm in the faith.  Amen.

1-The great gift of salvation brings great responsibility-

2-It is impossible for us to understand why Jesus had to die for the sins of human beings, but the Bible teaches that is what happened-

3-Both in Bible teaching and in personal observation, it is clear that everyone has sinned-

4-Decimated is a good word to describe what happened to the intimate relationship between God and humanity-

5-The single act of disobedience by Adam and Eve changed life on earth, for the worse.  The rest of the Bible is the story of God working to correct the damage and to defeat sin-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Mosquito is an insect that makes you like flies better-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Blessed are those who can give without remembering and receive without forgetting-

 

DID YOU KNOW-A single sheep's fleece might contain as many as twenty six million fibers-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-After killing his brother Abel, did Cain still have a life of evil character?

2-What was Adam and Eve's reaction to Cain killing his brother?

3-How many children did Adam and Eve have?

4-With whom did Adam and Eve's sons start families with?

5-Did Adam and Eve's sons start families with their sisters as their wives?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-According to Daniel, this astonishing person had a throne like a fire of flame.  Who was he?

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart overflow through the works of my hands, the causes that I support, and the spiritual encouragement that I give to others.  As I meditate upon Scripture and apply it to my life, it gives me a firm foundation upon which I remain steady when the surges of doubt and fear soar upon me and it is from this firm foundation that I draw wisdom and biblical experience to share with others and challenge them in their faith walk to follow you wholeheartedly.  I have been given so much because of Your benevolent kindness, therefore I have much to give in turn to those who observe my life.  I want to leave plenty of evidence that You have done a great work in me.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen.

1-We carry the DNA of God-

2-"Eternal life" is not the same thing as living forever-

3-Christianity may be complicated but salvation is not-

4-God did not send Jesus because he was angry at us for our sins but because he loved us-

5-We receive salvation by believing it-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Inflation is cutting money in half without damaging the paper-

 

I'VE LEARNED-You cannot hold a torch to light anothers path without brightening you own way-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Jack rabbits can reach a speed of fifty miles per hour and can leap as high as five feet-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Did "the family unit" mean anything to Adam and Eve?

2-Why wasn't Cain's offering acceptable to God?

3-Was Cain predestined to have an evil character?

4-At what point in their lives did Cain and Abel stop living with mom and dad?

5-How did Cain know the taking of his brother's life was evil?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Luke 4:1-13

4 Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. The Spirit led Jesus into the desert ² where the devil tempted Jesus for forty days. Jesus ate nothing during that time, and when those days were ended, he was very hungry.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Daily prayer: Father, we are so thankful for Your redeeming grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt. This is possible because of the blood of Jesus which was poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.  Where our sin increased, Your grace increased all the more.  Your refuge for our sin-filled souls took place at the cross of Calvary where Jesus shed His precious blood so that we might find forgiveness for our sins. This salvation is marvelous; it is matchless and it is infinitely greater than the animal blood sacrifice that took away sins for only a season. Christ's redeeming blood sacrifice frees us from the penalty of sin in this life and for all eternity. We thank You, Jesus, for freely shedding Your blood on our behalf and it is in Your name that we pray.  Amen.

1-The Gospel is not intuitive, it must be learned-

2-The Christian faith is built on trust on what Jesus did was for everyone-

3-To be a Christian you must first believe and then receive-

4-Boldness is not more volume, but despite the circumstances, speaking up when the opportunity presents itself-

5-Everybody lives forever somewhere-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Handkerchief is cold storage-

 

I'VE LEARNED-You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The hare can travel up to forty five miles per hour, whereas the rabbit can achieve an average speed of just thirty fire miles per hour-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-

1-Did Adam and Eve know what it was to die when God gave them instructions to not eat of the tree-

2-Why didn't Eve take fruit from "the tree of life" instead of "the tree of good and evil"?

3-Genesis says that God drove Adam from the garden of Eden but didn't mention banishing Eve.  Why not?

4-Did the first family eat both grain and animals?

5-Did God command both Cain and Able to bring animal sacrifices?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-What two sinful cities were destroyed by fire and brimstone from heaven?

PRAYER FOR TODAY   

Daily prayer: Father, as we faithfully serve You it is not for our own fulfillment but for the fulfillment of the Great Commission that the Gospel message be delivered at home and abroad to the outermost parts of the earth. No matter our Christian service, whether great or small, when it is offered in Your name it brings reward, often visible here and now but at times unseen by the human eye. Help us to go forth in confidence and walk in obedience, no matter the fruit we see or don't see, as we seek to glorify Your name. We can take heart within our spirit knowing that we will hear "the rest of the story" on the other side. Amen.

2-Believe in, means to trust in-

3-"There is no other name by which we must be saved"-

4-Good people don't go to heaven forgiven people do-

5-The Christian faith is grounded in history and is based on an event-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-An egotist is someone who is me deep in conversation-

 

I'VE LEARNED-The best gifts are tied with heart strings-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Thinking that a giraffe was a cross between a camel and a leopard, the Europeans once called the animal a camelopard-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Was the serpent possessed by satan?

2-Was the serpent satan in disguise?

3-Why did God say to Eve, I will greatly increase your pain in childbearing".  At this point in her short life did she know what having children was or even what pain was?

4-God also said "Your husband will rule over you".  What did that mean to Eve?

5-When did Adam and Eve become husband and wife?  Isn't that a marriage terminology?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who confessed to Samuel that he had not obeyed God by not destroying all the spoils of war?

Father, even as we hunger and thirst for physical substance intensify our hunger and thirst for godly discernment, spiritual knowledge, and righteous living. You declare “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness.” Only as we regularly nurture our spiritual appetite will we delve into the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God. Through the daily grind of life the inexhaustible truths revealed in Your Word brighten our outlook and make certain of our eternal hope. Jesus is the living bread for hungry souls so it is our prayer that He satisfies our hunger today.  Amen.

1-It was yesterday you said-tomorrow-

2-"Jesus" is not a neutral subject-

3-Jesus said "come and see" and "experience"-

4-The church should be the most powerful persuasive power on earth-

5-Christianity can be summed up in 4 words-1 God loved, 2 God gave, 3 We believe, 4 We receive-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Dust is mud with the water squeezed out-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Love is never wasted.  It make no difference where it is bestowed for it always brings in big returns-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The giraffe's heart is huge.  It weighs twenty five pounds, is two feel long, and has walls up to three inches thick-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-If Adam and Eve had never been exposed to anything not good, how would they know what evil was?

2-After eating the forbidden fruit, why did Adam and Eve think being naked was bad?

3-Did God physically and literally walk in the Garden of Eden?

4-Why did Adam accept the forbidden fruit from Eve?

5-Why didn't Adam stop Eve from eating the forbidden fruit?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who was pardoned by David after confessing his sin and begging for mercy?

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, in this ever-changing society where transition beckons us daily, You are the Changeless One. As we hold tightly to the hope we profess we will not be swayed to the right nor to the left. And we hold to this hope because You are faithful to Your Word and to Your divine character. Though the heavens are silent at times and the world continues to slide into decadence and intolerance toward true Christians we remain faithful. We will hold on a little while longer and shine as lights in this dark universe so that we can influence as many as possible. As we hold unswervingly to the hope we profess we will not give up due to weariness, weakness, or a wayward heart, for Your unchanging truth  makes the triumph sure. We joyfully have enlisted, led by Your grace divine. We are on our Lord’s side, Father, we are Thine. Amen.

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-People can be cruel and break your heart but only you can keep them from hurting you-

2-Never take someone's feelings for granted for you never know how much courage it took for them to share their feelings with you-

3-Your present circumstances don't determine where you go, they merely determine where you start-

4-Brutally honest people enjoy the brutality as much as the honesty-

5-As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-A committee is a body of people that keeps minutes and wastes hours-

 

I'VE LEARNED-You will be happier if you give people a bit of your heart rather than a piece of your mind-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Because of its long stride, a giraffe is quicker than it appears, at full gallop, the animal can run about thirty miles per hour-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Could animals originally communicate with humans?

2-Are all things that God created good?

3-Prior to tempting Adam and Eve, was the serpent a good creature?

4-Did satan cause the serpent to lie to Adam and Eve or was it a part of his original nature to lie?

5-Had other animals talked to Eve prior to the serpent doing so?

 

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who confessed his sin to an angel that only his donkey had seen?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   1 Corinthians 2:10-14

The Spirit searches out all things, even the deep secrets of God. ¹¹ Who knows the thoughts that another person has? Only a person’s spirit that lives within him knows his thoughts. It is the same with God. No one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. ¹² Now we did not receive the spirit of the world, but we received the Spirit that is from God so that we can know all that God has given us. ¹³ And we speak about these things, not with words taught us by human wisdom but with words taught us by the Spirit. And so we explain spiritual truths to spiritual people. ¹⁴ A person who does not have the Spirit does not accept the truths that come from the Spirit of God. That person thinks they are foolish and cannot understand them, because they can only be judged to be true by the Spirit.

 

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, we confess that there are many teachings of the Bible that are difficult to understand and challenging to implement. Yet we honor Your inspired Holy Word and hold it up as the standard for our pilgrimage here below. As lawlessness and ungodliness continue to plague our world we recognize all the more that You are like a shield for all who seek Your protection. There are instances where we may be called to take a stand for righteousness that requires us to make hard decisions, even that of choosing our relationship with You over our comfortable standing with our family or friends. We love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. May our choices reflect that proclamation as we are counted among those who endure to the very end. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

1-The past is where you learned the lesson, the future is where you apply the lesson.  Don't give up in between-

2-Most of the time it is better to be kind than right-

3-We don't need an intelligent mind that speaks, but a patient heart that listens-

4-Give honest and sincere appreciation-

5-When you judge someone you do not define them.  You define yourself-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Chicken is the only animal you eat before it is born and after it is dead-

 

I'VE LEARNED-The winter of my life has come and I'm not sure how long it will last.   But this I know, when it is over on this earth it is not over.  A new adventure with God will begin-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The gait of the giraffe is a pace, with both legs on one side moving together-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Why didn't God create Adam and Eve at the same time?

2-Were the trees "The tree of life " and "The tree of knowledge of good and evil" fruit trees?

3-Did Adam have any work to do in the Garden of Eden?

4-After God created woman from a man's rib, the bible says "for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and they will become one flesch."  This seems like an odd thing to say since neither had a parent.  Was this statement perhaps added after Genesis was written?

5-Why was the serpent a crafty animal?

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, You bless those who revere Your name and delight in Your commands.  In the midst of inner turmoil or outer conflict I will not be shaken for my heart remains steadfast trusting in You and Your overall plan for my life.  As I meditate on Your Word and stand firm in the midst of trials and testings I know that I will not be shaken. I want to remain firmly grounded as I overcome the daily obstacles that come my way.  Help me to learn the valuable lessons along the way as I press on toward the goal for which You have called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Many prizes of earthly value are earned on this side, but the prize of greatest worth that offers eternal reward is heaven. I’m headed there and will leave all sorrow, sin, and sadness behind. That will be glory, be glory for me! Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, it is our lifelong desire to love You without reserve, to never be lacking in zeal, and to keep our spiritual fervor as we serve You. We devote ourselves to You only and want to do what is good and right in Your sight so that it may go well with us and we will bring You pleasure. We want to be careful that we do not forget You or fail to observe Your commands You have set forth in Your Word. Otherwise our hearts will grow proud and we will forget our first love. Keep us on the right path all the days of our life we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    1 Corinthians 1:18-25

¹⁸ The teaching about the cross is foolishness to those who are being lost, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. ¹⁹ It is written in the Scriptures:

    I will make the wise unable to understand.” Isaiah 29:14

²⁰ Where is the wise person? Where is the educated person? Where is the skilled talker of this world? So God chose to use the message that sounds foolish to save those who believe. ²² The Jews ask for miracles, and the Greeks want wisdom. ²³ But we preach a crucified Christ. This causes the Jews to stumble and is foolishness to non-Jews. ²⁴ But Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God to those people God has called—Jews and Greeks. ²⁵ Even the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, far too often our minds can be consumed with things that only money can buy which can also bring discontent for that which we already have. Help us to focus our hearts on that which has lasting value, that brings eternal dividends. As we lift our voice to You this day and turn our hearts toward Your unfailing love we find joy and satisfaction that will not be determined by the events or non-events of this day. When human love is fleeting or disappoints help us to look to Your unfailing love which satisfies. We want to listen carefully to You, eat what is good, and delight ourselves in Your abundance. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

1-Anger makes you smaller while forgiveness forces you to grow beyond what you were-

2-God allows storms to prove he is the only shelter-

3-Never get tired of doing little thing for others, for sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part of their heart-

4-Anyone can hold a grudge, but it takes a person of character to forgive-

5-I will cast all my cares on God,they cannot burden him-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-An adult is a person who has stopped growing at both ends and is now growing in the middle-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The giant squid weighs up to two and a half tons and grows up to fifty five feet long-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-If the book of Esther is a religious book, intending to show God at work protecting the Jews, why would the writer down play the religious part?

2-Why would the king of Persia give Nehemiah a leave of absence, materials and armed escort to build a wall around Jerusalem, a place 1000 miles away?

3-Did the wall that Nehemiah built around Jerusalem surround all the the city or just part of it?

4-Is God's delay a test of our patience?

5-Is there anyone else in scripture whose name was Jesus?

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Our Father and God, help us to live our life in a way that does not gratify our flesh, but rather feeds our spirit that is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. You have given us opportunity to make a positive difference in this degenerate world. May we, by exercising restraint bring light into this darkened, sin-indulged world. May the fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, be evident in our lives so that these attitudes bring about good deeds which glorify You, Father. Others will look at our lives and see beyond our human frailties to recognize the Spirit of God at work in our lives providing example and stimulus to those seeking an alternative to the coarsening darkness of this troubled world.  We pray this in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

1-How was Haman killed?

2-Esther asked Mordecai to have the Jews hold a three day fast before she goes to the king.  She never asked for prayer. Why not?

4-Why didn't Jews in New Testament times consider the book of Esther a part of their holy scriptures?

Father, it is with love that You teach us through the Word that we are not to be conformed any longer to the pattern of this world, but we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. It is in our transformation that we finally see clearly the spiritual forces of evil that seek to devastate our lives and destroy us for all of eternity. But now the evil one’s masquerade is over and the light of truth is revealed. Your Word accomplishes that which You desire and achieves the purpose for which You sent it, to set us free us from our sins, to teach us the way to live, to make us bud and flourish, even as You do the plant life on earth. Keep us on the straight and narrow and spur us on to bring as many as possible along with us as we journey onward toward our eternal home. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

 Father we know that none of us are 100% humble for we are clothed in these mortal fallible bodies. But we do know that Jesus is the model of One completely humble in His humanity and divinity. He did not consider equality with You our Father something to be grasped but took on His person hood as a man and became obedient to death on the cross. We look to Him as the supreme example of humility and obedience. As we clothe ourselves in Your righteousness we can overcome the pride that is ever before us. We recognize that no good thing can come from us but all that is good comes from You. Remind us daily that the attitude of gratitude is the antidote for feelings of pride. When we acknowledge that everything we have and all that we are is due to Your merciful blessings we are humbled and grateful to You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Amen.
