1-When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, he gave them a prayer, not a lecture on prayer, not a doctrine of prayer.  He gave them a quotable, repeatable prayer-

2-It is not what you have read that counts but what you have learned-

3-Often, the people that bother us the most are those who have something we want-

4-The true measure of Christians is how they love one another-

5-Time does not heal, it only helps us forget-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Bureaucracy is a method of turning energy into solid waste-

 

I'VE LEARNED-You should never say no to a gift from a child-

1-What greeting does God prefer we use in addressing him?

1-It is not enough to believe the Bible, we must also apply it to our lives-

2-My only hope of peace with God is through the salvation of Jesus-

1-The good things in life we must pay for in advance.  The evil things we do we generally pay for on the installment plan-

3-Your concept of sin is based on your concept of God-

4-There is a difference between profession of faith and possession of the Savior-

5-Better to burn out than to rust out-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-I wondered why the baseball was getting larger, then it hit me-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Just one person saying to me "You've made my day!" makes my day-

5-Worry is praying for that which you don't want-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Aging seems to be the only available way to live a longer life-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Acceptance leads to influence-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Americans spend about $18 billion on footwear a year-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Did satan really believe that he could win the argument with God over Job?

2-Was Jesus and the angelic being called satan together in heaven before Satan was expelled by God.  If so, did they know each other?

3-How did the people in Genesis live such long lives?

4-Since the Genesis people didn't have calendars, how did they know how long they lived (their age)?

5-Were the ages mentioned in Genesis for the people, years as we know them to be, or were they the lengths of family groups?

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday-

2-You don't have to worry about job burnout if you let the job set you on fire-

3-Thank you God for giving me this new day especially since I loused up yesterday so bad-

4-Don't be so afraid of doing bad that you don't have time to do good-

5-You only have one chance to make the first impression-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-If there had been chocolate in the Garden of Eden, it would have kept Adam/Eve away from the forbidden tree-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If you don't go after what you want you will never have it-

 

DID YOU KNOW-If you lace your shoes from the inside to the outside, the fit will be snugger around your big toe-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Was Job a real person and all of Satan's attacks against him real situations or could it have been a parable?

2-Does satan have access to God at any time?

3-Satan accused God of putting a hedge around Job.  Had God done so?

4-What was the "Fire of God" that fell from the heavens and killed all of Job's sheep?

5-Can Satan persuade God to change his plans?

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

God, I want to thank you for all you do for me by the might and power of your Holy Spirit in me.  I need you every hour.  At times I feel weak and helpless.  Thank you for giving me patience today in spite of the challenges set before me. Amen.

1-To be successful you have to be easy to start and hard to stop-

2-Love, like bread should be made fresh every day-

3-You can't spell good without go, you can't spell God without go, and you can't spell gospel without go-

4-You have the solutions to the problems you create, so deal with it now-

5-There is health and healing in excitement-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Medical devices, lotions, treatments and pills are confiscated at the gate to heaven-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If you don't ask, the answer is always no-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The plastic things on the end of shoelaces are called aglets-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Are all angelic beings, both good and bad, compelled to present themselves before God?

2-Can satan only be at one place at a time or multi present like God?

3-Do the fallen angels aid satan in his work of evil?

4-Can satan see into the future?

5-Can satan look into our minds and know what we are thinking?

1-Life is fragile, handle with prayer-

2-God is forgiving but don't play dare-

3-If a christian is worried, frustrated or up set about money, God is not in control-

4-There is more to life than increasing its speed-

5-No need to worry about the future for God is already there-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Footprints in the sands of time are not made sitting down-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If you don't step forward you'll always be in the same place-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Bill Bowerman, founder of Nike, got his first shoe idea after staring at a waffle iron.  He got the idea of using squared spikes to make shoes lighter-

2-Why did satan consider God an enemy when God created him?
