1-Did satan really believe that he could win the argument with God over Job?

2-Was Jesus and the angelic being called satan together in heaven before Satan was expelled by God.  If so, did they know each other?

3-How did the people in Genesis live such long lives?

4-Since the Genesis people didn't have calendars, how did they know how long they lived (their age)?

5-Were the ages mentioned in Genesis for the people, years as we know them to be, or were they the lengths of family groups?

STRANGE THOUGHT-If there had been chocolate in the Garden of Eden, it would have kept Adam/Eve away from the forbidden tree-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If you don't go after what you want you will never have it-

 

DID YOU KNOW-If you lace your shoes from the inside to the outside, the fit will be snugger around your big toe-

1-Was Job a real person and all of Satan's attacks against him real situations or could it have been a parable?

2-Does satan have access to God at any time?

3-Satan accused God of putting a hedge around Job.  Had God done so?

4-What was the "Fire of God" that fell from the heavens and killed all of Job's sheep?

5-Can Satan persuade God to change his plans?

I'VE LEARNED-All of God's warnings come with pleas to repent and return to him-

 

DID YOU KNOW-In 1990 there were about fifteen thousand vacuum cleaner related accidents in the US-

1-Why wasn't it important for all of Adam and Eve's children's names to be listed in Genesis?

2-Who was the second person killed in scripture?

3-Why didn't Eve double check with God about not eating the forbidden fruit when tempted by satan to do so?

4-Why is Eve's death not mentioned in Genesis?

5-Was Job an Israelite?

1-Courage is being scared to death but doing it anyway-

2-Each lap of the christian race is different from the previous one-

3-The greatest oak tree was once a little nut that held its ground-

4-Nothing puts feeling into prayer like a good reason for praying it-

5-When wrestling with restlessness remember the benefits of patience-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-It is said that genes skip generations.  Maybe that is why grandparents find their grandchildren so likeable-

 

I'VE LEARNED-God knows exactly what we are yet loves us anyway-

 

DID YOU KNOW-On average, one hundred people choke on ballpoint pens every year-

1-Where did Cain's wife come from?-a sister?

2-Did Cain ever reconcile with his family for killing Abel?    

3-Cain told God he was afraid of being killed.  By whom, where and why?

4-Was Cain's killing of Abel premeditated?

5-Did Eve have any daughters and did they have any children?  By whom?

1-Love is a basket with 5 loaves and 2 fish.  It is never enough until you start to give it away-

2-God will bring a crises in your life to get you to change directions-

3-Make the least of the worst and the most of the best-

4-If you want a place in the sun you've got to put up with a few blisters-

5-A bird does not sing because it wants to be heard, it sings because it has a song-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-A son is a son till he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter all of her life-

 

I'VE LEARNED-The book of Joshua is not about claiming real estate for a dislocated nation.  It is about preserving a people for God's redemption plan-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Every year, more than 8,000 people injure themselves in some way with a toothpick-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-

1-Did Adam and Eve end up with an intimate knowledge of both good and evil?

2-God told Eve she would have pains in giving childbirth.  What did that mean to her as they didn't know what children were yet?

3-If Adam and Eve had eaten from "the tree of life" what would they have been able to do?

4-Is paradise another name for "the Garden of Eden"?

5-Did Adam and Eve ever repent to God and ask for forgiveness for their disobedience?

STRANGE THOUGHT-Many things grow in a garden that were not planted there-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Every heart beat brings us all one step closer to death-

 

DID YOU KNOW-A toothpick is the object most often choked on by Americans-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-What is confession?

2-How did the serpent get into the Garden of Eden?

3-Would Adam have known that he hadn't named the serpent when God brought all of the animals for naming?

4-How did Eve know to not eat from the tree of "the knowledge of good and evil"?  Did Adam tell her or did God tell her?

5-Would the fruit from the tree of "the knowledge of Good and evil" have been a luscious looking fruit?

Father, I am weak and often afraid.  When I don't understand what you allow in my life, help me to trust why you put it there.  Use every burden I face to accomplish the eternal purpose you have for me.  Amen.
