Thursday November 13, 2008 thought for the day

DO YOU SEE THE FACE?
Here are my thoughts for today
1-Don't try changing the world, try changing yourself-
2-Laughter is an instant vacation-
3-Every exit is an entrance to somewhere else-
4-The past is a place of reference, not a place or residency-
5-Having enough has little to do with the amount of cash a person has and everything to do with a sense of boundless provision-

Strange thought-a raison is a grape that has had too many worries-

I've learned-what we say is important for in most cases the mouth speaks what the heart is full of-

5 things I want to know
1-Did God create the place of hell?
2-Did the Last supper and the disciples gathering in an Upper Room occur in the same place?
3-Why would Eve have listened to the serpent instead of God?
4-How long had Adam and Eve lived in the garden and walked with God before disobeying?
5-Why was the potential enjoyment of the forbidden fruit to Adam/Eve greater than obeying God's command and enjoying his fellowship?

Scripture for today-Counsel in the heart of man is like water in a deep well, but a man of understanding draws it out. Proverbs 20:5 (AMP)

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper

Great to have come across the blog of a relative, and it's neat to see you're questioning the same things I question.

1-Did God create the place of hell?

Absolutely. I'm not sure what your question about it is...

Hell is reasonable because for God -- the perfect judge -- to simply ignore evil and not ultimately do away with it and punish it is to bring dishonor to His great name. He does EVERYTHING to the honor of His name (see just one example: Isaiah 43:6-7).

3-Why would Eve have listened to the serpent instead of God?

My simple theory on the source and ultimate cure for evil is the Holy Spirit. I think Eve fell because she did not have the Holy Spirit, or have it in full measure. Any creature without the Spirit in full measure will fall. Ask yourself this: Why is it we will one day never sin again? Is it because we will have our ability to choose stripped from us? Or is it because the person of the Spirit inhabits us and expresses the love toward the father so very fully that we would never dream of doing otherwise?

So I think the origin of evil and the ultimate solution to it is the withholding and giving of the Holy Spirit.

5-Why was the potential enjoyment of the forbidden fruit to Adam/Eve greater than obeying God's command and enjoying his fellowship?

Because a creature that lacks the full measure of the Holy Spirit would choose even a dumb apple over king Jehovah.

Check my theory with Scripture and let me know what you find.
