Sunday October 16, 2011 thought for the day-

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Forgiveness is always for the forgivers benefit-
2-Forgiveness leaves justice in God's hands-
3-Forgiveness does not condone the others behavior-
4-Freedom from anger only comes through forgiveness-
5-To forgive is to love, not to forgive is not to love-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Why do we say ladies and gentlemen and not gentleladies and gentlemen?
I'VE LEARNED-Expect less, others don't owe you anything-
DID YOU KNOW-In 1990, there were about fifteen thousand vacuum cleaner related accidents in the United States-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is it possible to become a Christian and not know it?
2-Is it possible to be a "closet Christian"?
3-If Jesus did so much more than what was recorded in the Bible, why don't we know more about more of them?
4-Why were the shepherds the first to know about the Savior's birth?
5-Who first knew about the the messiah's birth, the shepherds or the wise men?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What prophet mentions a voice crying in the wilderness?
Yesterday's answer Haggai's 1:12
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 Corinthians 5:1-5
Wickedness in the Church
1 It is actually being said that there is sexual sin among you. And it is a kind that does not happen even among people who do not know God. A man there has his father's wife.2 And you are proud! You should have been filled with sadness so that the man who did this should be put out of your group.3 I am not there with you in person, but I am with you in spirit. And I have already judged the man who did that sin as if I were really there.4 When you meet together in the name of our Lord Jesus, and I meet with you in spirit with the power of our Lord Jesus,5 then hand this man over to Satan. So his sinful self will be destroyed, and his spirit will be saved on the day of the Lord.
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying manFather, there are many promises made by well meaning individuals but circumstances change, people change and many of them fall by the wayside. There are also those who make the pretense of a promise never fully intending to keep it. Their motive is not pure and is self-serving. Help us, as the redeemed, to be people who are trustworthy and not to make a promise that we cannot keep. We are assured that your promises are trustworthy because of that which has already come to pass. We continue to wait for many other promises in the Bible to be fulfilled on the appointed day that You have ordained. Proverbs assures us that “You keep every promise You make. You are like a shield to all who seek Your protection.” What a reassuring truth we, as Your children, can hold onto this day and each day. We give You thanks through Jesus our Lord. Amen.

WISHING YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
