Wednesday January 18, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-I want to know God in spite of how I feel-
2-Don't let your feelings affect what you believe-
3-Feelings create emotions which create behavior which creates feelings-
4-You have given God your sins but have you given God yourself-
5-Love is the greatest of all motivators-
STRANGE THOUGHT-You can get so far behind that you think you are ahead-
I'VE LEARNED-Confrontation is rarely pleasant but frequently necessary-
DID YOU KNOW-In some parts of Alabama it is illegal to carry a comb in your pocket-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Since the Ark of the Covenant played such a big part of Jewish history, how has it been mysteriously lost?
2-Could the Ark of the Covenant be hidden under the temple mount in Jerusalem?
3-Are angels pure spirits without bodies?
4-What is the primary function of angels and what other duties do they have?
5-How much of what we believe about Jesus is tradition and how much is Bible based?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who was the royal mother of Nathan, Shobab, and Shimea?
Yesterday's answer-Mary Acts 12:12
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 2 Corinthians 8:10-15
10 This is what I think you should do: Last year you were the first to want to give, and you were the first who gave.11 So now finish the work you started. Then your "doing" will be equal to your "wanting to do." Give from what you have.12 If you want to give, your gift will be accepted. It will be judged by what you have, not by what you do not have.13 We do not want you to have troubles while other people are at ease, but we want everything to be equal.14 At this time you have plenty. What you have can help others who are in need. Then later, when they have plenty, they can help you when you are in need, and all will be equal.15 As it is written in the Scriptures, "The person who gathered more did not have too much, nor did the person who gathered less have too little."
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Jesus, You warned Your listeners as You sat on the Mount of Olivet that at the end of the age nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famines and earthquakes will be commonplace. Believers will be handed over to be persecuted and many will turn away from the faith as wickedness increases. In the midst of such dark desolation we cling to the bright promise, full of hope and motivation for those who walk steadfastly with You; he who stands firm to the end will be saved. We will conquer the enemy, for the battle is not ours, but Yours, Lord Jesus! Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
