Friday January 18, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Sin puts you in slavery-
2-Freedom does not mean "I am a law unto myself"-
3-God has already diagnosed our sin problem and supplied the remedy-
4-Mankind is either redeemed or condemned eternally-
5-Hell is not the choice of God but the choice of everyone who rejects God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Laughing stock are cattle with a sense of humor-

I'VE LEARNED-You can see more coming down the hill than going up-

DID YOU KNOW-When a human body is dehydrated its thirst mechanism shuts off-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How do you love someone you don't like?
2-Wasn't a baby a strange way to save the world?
3-Why was Joseph chosen to be Jesus' earthly father?
4-Are there any records of Jesus' birth other than the biblical record?
5-What is the healthiest human emotion?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who anointed a stone and dedicated it to God?
Yesterday's answer-Wine, which symbolizes the blood of sacrifice    Mark 14:24

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     John 11:17-27

17 When Jesus arrived, he learned that Lazarus had already been dead and in the tomb for four days. 18 Bethany was about two miles from Jerusalem. 19 Many of the Jews had come there to comfort Martha and Mary about their brother.
20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed home. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you anything you ask.”
23 Jesus said, “Your brother will rise and live again.”
24 Martha answered, “I know that he will rise and live again in the resurrection[a] on the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will have life even if they die. 26 And everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Martha, do you believe this?”
27 Martha answered, “Yes, Lord. I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, the One coming to the world.”

  1. John 11:24 resurrection Being raised from the dead to live again.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, I rejoice in the blessing that we are not still waiting for the consolation of Israel, but were born after Christ came into the world to save us. Though there are many promises in Scripture yet to be fulfilled the most important has been answered in the birth, death and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We are now among those who look “for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” We look back and give thanks for Christ’s birth. We look forward and cry out, “Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus, come!”

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
