Monday November 25, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Children rarely out grow the damage done to them by parents who deliberately play favorite-
2-Never confuse having a life with having a career-
3-Be unstoppable-
4-There is no shame in not knowing, only in not finding out-
5-Once we have accepted the grace of God, we have no excuse for playing with sin,
For it is no less damaging and speaks volumes about the quality of our relationship with God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?

I'VE LEARNED-Whenever we doubt God's love and wisdom, we always get into trouble-

DID YOU KNOW-Some sharks swim in a figure eight when frightened-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Will people in heaven need rest and sleep?
2-Will people in heaven be assigned work to do?
3-Will people in heaven own their own home (living space)?
4-Will there be different kinds of friendship in heaven?
5-What will people in heaven remember?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What church tolerated the heresy of the Nicolaitans?
Answer for today     Pergamos     Revelation 2:12-17

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Acts 25:13-21
13 A few days later King Agrippa and Bernice came to Caesarea to visit Festus. 14 They stayed there for some time, and Festus told the king about Paul’s case. Festus said, “There is a man that Felix left in prison. 15 When I went to Jerusalem, the leading priests and the elders there made charges against him, asking me to sentence him to death. 16 But I answered, ‘When a man is accused of a crime, Romans do not hand him over until he has been allowed to face his accusers and defend himself against their charges.’ 17 So when these people came here to Caesarea for the trial, I did not waste time. The next day I sat on the judge’s seat and commanded that the man be brought in. 18 They stood up and accused him, but not of any serious crime as I thought they would. 19 The things they said were about their own religion and about a man named Jesus who died. But Paul said that he is still alive. 20 Not knowing how to find out about these questions, I asked Paul, ‘Do you want to go to Jerusalem and be judged there?’ 21 But he asked to be kept in Caesarea. He wants a decision from the emperor.[a] So I ordered that he be held until I could send him to Caesar.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, those whom You call You also equip to do that which we cannot do in ourselves. Some of us come up against extremely difficult odds, whether it’s due to our family history, physical limitations from birth, an accident, disease or aging. Any or all of these negatives have a way of consuming us and can contribute to a victim’s outlook. But You don’t victimize us, Father, You make us Victors as You give us helps along the way, provide caregivers who support and cheer us on. You perform small and big miracles within us to accomplish Your intended will for our lives. You assured a frightened Moses with these words, “I will be with you” and You assure our spirits with the very same message, “I will be with you” no matter how hard the test, how long it endures, or the timing of its appearance. Faithful God, You never change, but are always the same and we’re assured the victory just like Abraham, Moses, Job, Daniel and all the other common, ordinary people of the Bible who became heroes in our eyes. We walk in victory because You are the great I AM and You are with us. We love You and look to You in the name of Jesus. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD
