Monday October 20, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-When you become a follower of Jesus, you are not just a believer, you are also a belonger-
2-The fruit of faith is love.  The fruit of love is service-
3-The weak can never forgive for it is only the attribute of the strong-
4-When you are drowning in life's situations, remember your life guard walks on water-
5-I don't know any perfect people, just really flawed people who are worth loving-

STRANGE THOUGHT-No two people are alike and both of them are happy for it-

I'VE LEARNED-Worry is not just a bad habit it is sin-

DID YOU KNOW-Isaac Newton dropped out of school when he was a teenager-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why was Jesus allowed to speak in the synagogue?
2-What did Jesus mean saying "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near"?
3-Why is the statement true, "no prophet is accepted in his hometown?
4-Why was Jesus so critical of the people of Nazareth that they wanted to kill him?
5-Was it irresponsible for the fishermen whom Jesus called to be his disciples to drop everything, leaving family to be with Jesus?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What happened to the manna the Israelites tried to hoard?
Answer for today   it was filled with maggots    Exodus 16:20

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Isaiah 54:17
So no weapon that is used against you will defeat you.
You will show that those who speak against you are wrong.
These are the good things my servants receive.
Their victory comes from me,” says the Lord.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Praying manDaily prayer: Father, we pray that You will help us to grow in Your grace and knowledge, that we will continue to mature in our Christian walk. Scripture, repeatedly, indicates that spiritual maturity is a result of enduring trials of various kinds. In the midst of these trials Your soft prompting or guidance through Scripture, through other believers, and through the circumstances we face can easily be ignored when self gets in the way. Today we make every effort to add to our faith those characteristics that will sustain and grow us in our Christian walk. In so doing we will be effective and productive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, during times of ease but even more so during times of difficulty. Keep us faithful and keep us growing, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy-
