Wednesday February 5, 2020 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-You endure as much humiliation as you consent to feel-
2-No one can force you to feel humiliation or shame without your consent-
3-If your behavior violates your own moral standards, humiliation is a natural consequence-
4-Don’t do anything you think is wrong or fail to do anything you consider morally necessary-
5-Shame should only come from what we do not from who we are-

STRANGE THOUGHT
Eagles may soar but weasels don’t get sucked into jet engines-

I’VE LEARNED
Instead of a sign that says, “do not disturb”, I need one that says “ already disturbed, proceed with caution”-

DID YOU KNOW
Teddy Roosevelt was so keen on boxing he had a boxing ring installed in the White House-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How does blood make atonement for sin?
2-Why did Jesus tell his audience “to drink his blood” when the people were prohibited from doing so?
3-Is abortion in reality a human sacrifice which God has forbidden?
4-Did the Israelites ever practice “the year of jubilee”?
5-God said in Leviticus that neglecting the poor is a sin.  Is it?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Who anointed the head of Jesus with an expensive ointment known as spikenard?
Answer for today         Mary, Lazarus’ sister      John 12:3

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
God’s word is true, and everything he does is right. He loves what is right and fair; the Lord’s love fills the earth                            Psalm 33:4-5 NCV

PRAYER

Father, we can take comfort in the knowledge that you Lord, know us from the inside out.  You are aware of every heartache and happiness-

-LIVE SIMPLY, LOVE GENEROUSLY, CARE DEEPLY, SPEAK KINDLY, LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD-
