Saturday October 4, 2008 thought for the day

THIS GUY IS GRILLIN FOR THE WHOLE GANG!!
Here are my thoughts for today
1-Food always tastes better when shared-
2-We may not always realize that everything we do affects not only our lives but touches others too-
3-A little bit of thoughtfulness shows someone you care and creates a ray of sunshine for both of you to share-
4-Every time you offer someone a helping hand you show a friend you care and understand-
5-Happiness brings happiness and loving ways bring love and giving is the treasure that contentment is made of-

Strange thought-you are only young once but there is no limit to childishness-

I've learned-listen for a beautiful sound, speak a kind word to some person, and do something nice for someone without their knowledge-

5 things I want to know
1-What was it about the "tree of knowledge of good and evil" that was so attractive to Adam and Eve?
2-When Cain founded the land of Nod, where did all the people come from?
3-Where is the land of Nod and is it a real place?
4-Did Abel have any descendents or was he even married?
5-What happened to Cain's descendents?

Scripture for today-“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:2-4 NIV).

Friday October 3, 2008 thought for the day

THE VERY LATEST CHARCOAL GRILL
Here are my thoughts for today
1-True love is neither physical or romantic-it is an acceptance of all that is, has been, and will not be-
2-Peace is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank-
3-Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you-Jesus Christ and the Americana G.I.-one died for your soul and the other for your freedom-thank them both over and over-
4-There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting someone up-
5-There is only one way to succeed in anything and that is to give it your very best-

Strange thought-Money only brings out the basic traits in people-

I've learned-for a happy day, look for something beautiful and bright in nature-

5 things I want to know-
1-Why was Genesis 2:24 stated here as neither Adam or Eve had a father or mother?
2-Since Eve had no mother to teach her about women things, who taught her and Adam?
3-Are there different kinds or ranks of angels?
4-How many names of angels are given in the bible?
5-What kinds of spiritual beings were created by God?

Scripture for today-Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. Proverbs 4:23 (GNT)

Thursday October 2, 2008 thought for the day

PLEASE, GET ME TO THE CHURCH ON TIME!!
Here are my thoughts for today
1-When Satan is knocking at your door simply say-"Jesus, could you get that for me"?
2-The measure of a person is their ability to accept responsibility for themselves-
3-Encouragement is to friendship what confetti is to a party-you always find little pieces of it stuck to you later-
4-Laugh when you can, apologize when you should and let go of what you can't change-
5-Be kinder than necessary for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle-

Strange thought-clouds are high flying fogs-

I've learned-never underestimate the power and potential of the human spirit-

5 things I want to know
1-How do we live under the Holy Spirits control?
2-Is confession necessary to receive salvation?
3-When did eternity begin?
4-What happened to the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve left it?
5-Where are the rivers Pishon and Gibon that flowed through the Garden of Eden along with
Tigris and Euphrates?

Scripture for today-“Don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time” (Matthew 6:34 LB).

Wednesday October 1, 2008 thought for the day-

SO THIS IS WHERE ALL THE SENIOR CITIZENS COME FROM!!
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-The best kind of friend is someone you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you ever had-
2-May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy-
3-Put yourself in the other person's shoes and if that hurts you, it probably hurts them too-
4-The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes their way-
5-When you were born you were crying and all around you were smiling--live your life so that when you die you're the one smiling and all around you are crying-

True thought-it takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to destroy it-

I've learned-the little sayings you learned as a child, such as the Golden Rule, are actually important-

5 things I want to know
1-What is the "fruit" that others will know who we are?
2-Did Jesus really drink true wine or just sanctified grape juice?
3-Why don't many Christians have God's "miracle power" demonstrated in their lives?
4-Is the "old man" ever removed from the Christian's life?
5-How do we become filled with God's Spirit?

Scripture for today-Proverbs 27:1 “Never boast about tomorrow. You don’t know what will happen between now and then” (GNT).
