1-The greater the love, the greater the potential for pain-

2-Anything you dwell on will  tend to multiply-

3-Don't fix your hope on the uncertainty of riches-

4-Contentment and godliness make for generosity-

5-Income has nothing to do with generosity-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Hypochondriac is a guy who won't let well enough alone-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Unforgiveness is choosing to stay trapped in a jail cell of bitterness, serving time for someone else's crime-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Rubber bands last long when refrigerated-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Was Peter the only disciple who truly knew Jesus was the Messiah?

2-Did Jesus' mother Mary ever talk to any of the disciples about Jesus miraculous birth and angelic visitation?

3-What does Scripture mean saying-"take up your cross daily"?

4-The bible has only one story of Jesus childhood of his family going to Jerusalem for the passover and being left behind by accident when his family left to return home.  Why was no other story ever mentioned about Jesus' childhood?

5-When Jesus started his ministry did he ever return home to see his family?

3-Live as though God was with you as indeed he is-

4-We need a friend more than we need a judge-

5-When we make sin of no consequence we do the same with God-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Hunger is what the posse did to the lady rustler-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Never forget what is worth remembering and always leave behind what is best forgotten-

1-Where does the term "accept Jesus into your heart" come from?

3-Is God's grace reasonable or unreasonable?

1-I hear what you a saying but is that what you mean-

2-Being right or wrong is not the issue in loving relationships-

3-Love is a four letter word for forgiveness-

4-When you are doing God's business, God takes care of your business-

5-Forgiveness does not necessarily make things right but it does make you free-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Hero is what a guy in a row boat does-

 

I'VE LEARNED-The greatness of a man is not how much wealth he acquires but in his integrity and ability to affect positively those around him-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The diameter of the wire in a standard paper clip is 1 millimeter, or about 0.04 inches-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Nothing in scripture talks about Jesus relationship with Mary's other children.  Why?

2-Did Mary tell her children that their brother Jesus was the Messiah?  If not, who did tell them?

3-Would Jesus have had a traceable DNA?

4-When Jesus was a child, would other children have teased him about being the Messiah.  What about when he was a teenager?

5-When did Jesus receive his divine miracle power?  Did he have it as a child or teenager or adult?

Father, only life experience will teach me in my heart of hearts that your grace is sufficient for me, whatever the circumstances.  Enable me to thank you for those hard circumstances so then I may wholeheartedly praise you for a greater understanding of your amazing grace-

**The first picture above is not a picture of our family  but it is meaningful to us.  We had a grandson somewhat older than the child's age when his great grandfather was in the nursing home and unable to see and we experienced this picture several times.  He was not fearful of his g'pa and would crawl up in his arms and look him straight in the face.  In fact I think he would kiss him on his cheek.  This must have been a special delight to my wife's father!!  It was very touching for us to watch!!

I'VE LEARNED-Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain.  But all happiness and growth occurs while you are climbing it-

1-Every major civilization before us has disintegrated and collapsed from internal forces rather than military conquest-

2-For the Christian, the term "eternal life" refers to an everlasting existence (time with no end) with God in heaven.  Should it not also refer to the unsaved spending that same time with satan in hell?

3-Is there a difference in the wrath of God of the old testament and the love of God of the new testament?

4-If every Christian began to live the promised land life, how would the world be different?

5-If Christians are co-heirs with Jesus, why do we so often struggle through life?

1-In ll Timothy 4:14 who was Alexander?  Why was he with Paul and what did he do that was harmful?

I'VE LEARNED-I wish I could have told my mother I loved her one more time before she passed away-

1- Why is it so difficult to admit spiritual poverty?

2-Why would those who are poor in spirit feel a need to mourn?

3-From the world's point of view, why is it surprising that the meek will inherit the earth?

1-Did Jesus ever minister directly to Gentiles?

1-Jesus said "My yoke is easy and my burden is light."  What did he mean by saying that?

2-Did the commandment of prohibiting work on the Sabbath make any exceptions for any kind of work--caring for the sick, caring for animals or livestock, preparing food to eat, buying food to eat from a restaurant, buying gas for your car, mowing your lawn, keeping the power system running, civil servants such as police or firemen on duty, etc.

3-Are some rituals or ways of worship more conducive to worship than others?

4-Is it always okay to do good on the Sabbath?

5-Why aren't any of Jesus's sisters as mention in Matthew 13:56 a part of Jesus biblical story?

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-None of us can tell ahead of time at what moment we step into a child's life and by a demonstration of love and faith turn them in God's direction-

2-The Holy Spirit is usually a shepherd not a cattle driver (he leads you rather than drives you)-

3-Preparation is the best medicine to keep stage fright from becoming disaster-

4-Think young, aging is for wine-

5-Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Don't be a crank, be a self starter-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Life is tough, but I am tougher-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The average lead pencil can draw a line thirty five miles long or write approximately fifty thousand English words-

1-It seems that while Jesus was on the earth, demons were especially active.  Was that still true after his ascension to heaven?

2-Where in scripture was the first time Jesus was called "Son of David"?

3-Was Simon the Zealot a member of the Zealots, a radical political party working for the violent overthrow of Roman rule in Israel?

4-Why didn't Jesus send the disciples to the Gentiles or the Samaritans?

5-Why did Jesus come to the Jewish people and his disciples ended up going to the gentiles?

3-We get angry because we are fearful-

4-Money may talk but it doesn't give itself away-

5-If you wait until you are "in the mood" you may have to wait forever-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Eclipse is what a gardner does to your hedge-

I'VE LEARNED-No one is perfect until you fall in love with them-

DID YOU KNOW-The average person looks at eight houses before buying one of them-

1-Can you always and in all situations overcome evil with good?

2-Can we ever love others as much as God loves us?

3-How does God accomplish his will on earth?

4-Can anyone of us by worrying add a single hour to our life?

5-Matthew says that two demon possessed men came from the graveyard and Mark and Luke refer to only one.  Why the difference?
