1-Isn't it ironic that Barabbas who was released from prison , was guilty of the very crime for which Jesus was accused of-

2-The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is the central fact of christian history-

3-Jesus resurrected body was immortal-

4-When Jesus uses the phrase "I am", he affirms his pre existence and eternal deity-

5-If Jesus is the eternal Son of God, we should pay attention to his divine identity and life giving message-

1-The amount of money we have is not as important as the way we use it-

4-We don't need more faith, for a tiny seed of faith is enough if it is alive and growing- 

5-Obedience to God is not something extra we do, it is our duty-

1-The key to using money wisely is to see how much we can use for God's purpose, not how much we can accumulate for ourselves-

3-Israel's rejection of Jesus as messiah did not stop God's plan-

1-Wealth is not a sign of faith or of partiality on God's part-

2-There is no substitute for prayer, especially in circumstances that seem impossible-

3-God will answer your prayers, but not as a result of your positive mental attitude-

4-God's laws are not burdensome.  They can be reduced to two simple principles-Love God and love others-

5-Live for Jesus even when no one is looking-

A fossil is an extinct animal.  The older it is, the more extinct it is-

Forgiveness does not mean instant restoration of trust.  Forgiveness is instant and based on grace.  Trust must be rebuilt over time-

1-Jesus twice touched the blind man brought to him for healing.  Why was two touches necessary?

2-If our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, is it sacred or holy?

3-If our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit why don't preachers preach on taking care of it by living and eating right?

4-Can something sacred be only temporarily sacred?

5-Is genuine forgiveness a christian virtue only?

4-Deliberate, ongoing rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit is blasphemy because it is rejecting God himself-

5-Helping those in need is one of the most important ways to honor God-

The tides are a fight between the earth and the moon.  All water tends towards the moon because there is no water on the moon and nature abhors a vacuum.  I forgot where the sun joins in the fight-

As a christian I have more wealth than I could ever imagine and more than I'll ever deserve-

1-Between Malachi and Matthew why is there 400 years of no scripture.  Was God silent all this time?

1-The purpose of John the Baptist's preaching was to prepare people to accept Jesus as God's son-

3-Use your anger to find constructive solutions rather than to tear people down-

4-The book of Mark records more of Jesus' miracles than sermons-

5-The pharisees hated Jesus because he challenged their proud attitudes and dishonorable motives-

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-The religious leaders were determined to kill Jesus and they broke several commandments in order to do so-

2-It is ironic that's Barabbas was guilty of the crime for which Jesus was accused-being a rebel  who claimed to be a king and thus a threat to Caesar-

3-The stone over Jesus' tomb was not rolled aside so Jesus could get out, but so others could get in and see that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead, just as he promised-

4-The resurrection of Jesus is the corner stone of the christian faith-

5-Baptism symbolizes submission to Jesus, a willingness to live God's way, and identification with God's covenant people-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT

The skeleton is what is left after the insides have been taken out and the outsides have been taken off.  The purpose of the skeleton is something to hang meat to-
