Friday June 5, 2009 thought for the day
FRIENDS
Here are my thoughts for today
1-Prayer opens up your limited resources to the infinite possibilities of God-
2-Prayer is the key that unlocks the storehouse of God's infinite grace and power-
3-All that God is and all that God has is at the disposal of the believer-
4-Nothing lies outside the reach of prayer except that which is outside the will of God-
5-Count it a blessing when God delays the answer to your prayer in order to enlarge your capacity-
Strange thought-How does sleep restore the body's energy?
I've learned-To love unselfishly is its own reward-
5 things I want to know
1-Should a Christian be trying to determine the order of events surrounding Jesus's return?
2-If no one knows the time of Jesus' return, why do we spend so much effort trying to determine it?
3-Is there more than one place of hell?
4-Are there different degrees of punishment in hell?
5-Why did Jesus chose to speak in parables instead of clear understandable speech?
Scripture for today Psalms 17:8-15
8 Protect me as you would protect your own eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings.
9 Keep me from the wicked who attack me, from my enemies who surround me.
10 They are selfish and brag about themselves.
11 They have chased me until they have surrounded me. They plan to throw me to the ground.
12 They are like lions ready to kill; like lions, they sit in hiding.
13 Lord, rise up, face the enemy, and throw them down. Save me from the wicked with your sword.
14 Lord, save me by your power from those whose reward is in this life. They have plenty of food. They have many sons and leave much money to their children.
15 Because I have lived right, I will see your face. When I wake up, I will see your likeness and be satisfied.
I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
