HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-If you refuse to accept anything but the best, you get it more often-

2-When the cross is lifted high, even the arrogant are brought low-

3-There is no sacrifice in the will of God-

4-Sorrow increases the heart's capacity for joy-

5-Laughter is God's hand on the shoulder of a troubled world-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why is soup never spilled on a tie you don't like?

I'VE LEARNED-Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death-

DID YOU KNOW-Almost all the villains in the Bible have red hair(I don't know if this is true or not)-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Does God test his people or just allow them to be tested?

2-Why did God ask Abraham to offer Issac as a burnt offering when God had forbidden his people from making human sacrifices like the pagan cultures?

3-Why didn't Abraham question God about making a human sacrifice of his son?

4-Did God ever give a blessing to Ishmael as he did to Issac?

5-Did Abraham not have any doubt as to God's instruction to him about sacrificing Issac?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 5:12-16

Jesus Heals a Sick Man

¹² When Jesus was in one of the towns, there was a man covered with a skin disease. When he saw Jesus, he bowed before him and begged him, "Lord, you can heal me if you will."

¹³ Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man and said, "I will. Be healed!" Immediately the disease disappeared. ¹⁴ Then Jesus said, "Don't tell anyone about this, but go and show yourself to the priest and offer a gift for your healing, as Moses commanded. This will show the people what I have done."

¹⁵ But the news about Jesus spread even more. Many people came to hear Jesus and to be healed of their sicknesses,¹⁶ but Jesus often slipped away to be alone so he could pray.
