HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-When you aim for perfection, you'll find it is a moving target-
2-Great ideas need landing wheels as well as wings-
3-Life is change, growth is optional, so choose wisely-
4-The gift of old age is remembrance-
5-Enjoy life, for it has an expiration date-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A complex system that works is invariably found to have
evolved from a simple system that works-
I'VE LEARNED-As I've gotten older I use more four letter words such as
"what"?---"when"-
DID YOU KNOW-The smallest mammal is the bumblebee bat of Thailand, weighing
less than a penny-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Are there true prophets in today's time and day?
2-Some scenes of symbolic writing in Ezekiel are horrifying and beyond
comprehension. Should these have been made a part of Holy Scripture?
3-Should the Book "Song of Solomon" with it's exotic dialogue have been
made a part of Holy Scripture?
4-Did Ezekiel see a UFO?
5-Did God speak to Ezekiel in dreams and visions or was he in a trance
like state of being?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What prophet ended his book with God's threat to come and
strike the land with a curse?
Answer for today Malachi 4:6
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Mark 1:35-39
35 Early the next morning, while it was still dark, Jesus
woke and left the house. He went to a lonely place, where he prayed.
36 Simon and his friends went to look for Jesus.
37 When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for
you!”
38 Jesus answered, “We should go to other towns around here so I can preach there too. That is the reason I came.” 39 So he went everywhere in Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and forcing out demons.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
38 Jesus answered, “We should go to other towns around here so I can preach there too. That is the reason I came.” 39 So he went everywhere in Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and forcing out demons.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, in a world
filled with broken promises resulting in broken lives, how comforted we are to
know that You keep every promise You make. You heal the broken-hearted and bind
up their wounds. You call us to Yourself, poor and needy, bruised and broken by
the fall, and You stand ready to save us. We must doubt no more but fully trust
You on the merit of the blood given for us through the death of Your Son, Jesus.
We confess our brokenness and celebrate Your wholeness as we serve You and
transfer our citizenship to Your kingdom that is eternal.
