Tuesday January 14, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The reward for a thing well done is to have it done-
2-If your ship doesn't come in, you may have to swim out to it-
3-May you never rest until your good is better than your best-
4-Let us wipe out the past, trust in the future and rejoice in the now-
5-You'll never find a rainbow if you are always looking down-

STRANGE THOUGHT-To pick the expert, pick the one who predicts the job will take the longest and cost the most-

I'VE LEARNED-I sleep better in my recliner with the TV blaring than I do in bed-

DID YOU KNOW-A geep is a cross between a goat and a sheep-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Gomer ever have any children with Hosea as the biological father-
2-Did Hosea love Gomer or was his actions toward her merely in response to God's command to him-
3-Who was Darius the Mede who had Daniel put in the lion's den?
4-In all of old testament times, why did the entire family often have to pay the price for the sins of the father?
5-Does Daniel's visions have anything to do with end times prophecies?

BIBLE TRIVIA-According to the Law, what sort of handicapped people should we not curse?
Answer for today   The blind and the deaf      Leviticus  19:14

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Psalm 37:21-24
21 The wicked borrow and don’t pay back,
But those who do right give freely to others.
22 Those whom the Lord blesses will inherit the land,
But those he curses will be sent away.
23 When people’s steps follow the Lord,
God is pleased with their ways.
24 If they stumble, they will not fall,
Because the Lord holds their hand.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful man Father, the commandments that You give are to be impressed upon our hearts. When our acts of obedience come from the heart love motivates us to heed Your Word and align our desires with Your own. As we love You with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength we will never forget our miraculous deliverance. For You delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of Your beloved Son in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. May we ever be mindful and walk in humility as we realize Your great work in our lives!  Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
