HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Reading scriptures can be a personal encounter with God-
2-You cannot experience God outside of doing his will-
3-Scripture is not a concept, it is a revelation about God to us-
4-If you feel no pain in disobedience to God, your relationship with him
will soon self destruct-
5-God may not be predictable but he is consistent-
STRANGE THOUGHT-When we awaken in the morning, why do we wake up?
I'VE LEARNED-Never confuse understanding and doing-
DID YOU KNOW-It would take more than 150 years to drive a car to the
sun-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How many children did Abraham produce-
2-How old was Keturah when she married Abraham?
3-Did Abraham have concubines?
4-Why did Abraham send all his sons away (except for Isaac) from their
home?
5-Did Isaac ever have any interaction with his half brother Ishmael?
BIBLE TYRIVIA-Who asked God the question?-"Why is this come to pass, that
there should today be one tribe lacking in Israel?
Answer for today The Israelites Judges 21:2-3
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Proverbs 3:13-15
13 Happy
is the person who finds wisdom,
The one who gets understanding.
14 Wisdom is worth more than silver;
It brings more profit than gold.
15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
Nothing you could want is equal to it.
The one who gets understanding.
14 Wisdom is worth more than silver;
It brings more profit than gold.
15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
Nothing you could want is equal to it.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Daily
prayer:Father,
when we gave you our heart, we made the willful choice
to no longer conform to the trends and philosophies of this world. Instead we
ask You to daily renew our minds so that we see this world and its philosophies
through the eyes of Christ. We are put to the test daily in deciding what is
truth and what is error. May Your Holy Word be our reference point and Your
Spirit be our Guide as we are exposed to countless philosophies based on human
understanding and the basic principles of this world rather than Your eternal
foundational truths. Sharpen our discernment and grant us courage so that we
readily know truth from error and are fearless in saying so. In Jesus’ name we
pray. Amen.
