HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will break my heart-

2-The more you have to live for, the less you will need to live on-

3-Through salvation our past has been forgiven, our present has been given meaning, and our future is secured-

4-Faith that isn't tested is faith that can't be trusted-

5-God's grace is more than we deserve and greater than we can imagine-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If you want to be happy, focus on your health and your family-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-How did Eli discern that the voice speaking to Samuel was the Lord?

2-Why did God have to use the boy Samuel to warn Eli what was about to occur?

3-Why had Eli become a passive, inactive, indulgent father to his two sons?

4-Why hadn't Eli reprimanded his sons for their sinful behavior?

5-Why had Eli appointed his two sons as priests when they were such reprobates?

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Father, the greatest blessing in trusting You is the confidence we walk in as we look to You for everything that we have need of.  Jeremiah draws the contrast of those who depend on humans for strength and have stopped trusting in You.  They don’t know about the good things that You can give because they are unwilling to surrender their all to You.  But we who have walked across the bridge of salvation chose to place our trust in You. We have found You to be faithful. In place of cringing fear we walk in confident faith because it is not in ourselves that we trust but in the Living God who is trustworthy in all areas of our lives.  Now, we ask for grace to trust You even more.  Amen.


TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
