HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-The secret to getting ahead is getting started-

2-Don't confuse your path with your destination.  Just because it is stormy now doesn't mean you aren't headed for sunshine-

3-If we leave the cross out of the life of Christ, we have nothing left and certainly not Christianity-

4-Jesus is not just a teacher or a revolutionist, but our savior-

5-Jesus is the only one who divided history-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-I wanted to be an ideal parent but I am too busy  raising my children-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Sisters are different flowers from the same garden-

 

DID YOU KNOW-In the 1940s, the Bich pen was changed to Bic for fear that Americans would pronounce it"bitch"-

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Mark 9:43-50

⁴³ If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to lose part of your body and live forever than to have two hands and go to hell, where the fire never goes out. [ ⁴⁴ In hell the worm does not die; the fire is never put out ⁴⁵ If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to lose part of your body and to live forever than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. [ ⁴⁶ In hell the worm does not die; the fire is never put out.] ⁴⁷ If your eye causes you to sin, take it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell. ⁴⁸ In hell the worm does not die; the fire is never put out. ⁴⁹ Every person will be salted with fire.⁵⁰ “Salt is good, but if the salt loses its salty taste, you cannot make it salty again. PRAYER FOR THE DAY

  Father, it is reassuring that in this ever-changing world some things, dear and precious to us, do not change. Most importantly the sacred truths and basic principles presented in Scripture are not to be altered or amended in conformity to one’s worldview or to that of any particular generation. Your inspired truths are useful for teaching, reproof, and training in righteousness. Their intent is to guide us day by day on our earthly journey with daily decisions, lifestyle, and choices as well as keeping our hope and focus on that which can’t be held with our hands, seen with our eyes, or heard with our ears, not down here in our mortal bodies. The Bible only intensifies our longing with these words, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” In these perilous days when so many do what they think is right in their own eyes we want to walk according to what is right in Your eyes according to Scripture. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
