Tuesday March 17, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God's grace is a gift.  We don't earn it but we can lose it-
2-Guilt can stir up repentance and renewal.. So in  the right dosage, it is a blessing-
3-Guilt, most often, is an unbearable burden-
4-God's final word on your life is grace-
5-We don't change God's intentions, but we can influence his actions by our prayers-

STRANGE THOUGHT-What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

I'VE LEARNED-Patience is not the ability to wait, it is how you behave while you wait-

DID YOU KNOW-The expression "What in tarnation?"  comes from the original phrase "What in eternal damnation?"

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-The Bible says that when Christ appears "we shall be like him.  What does that mean"?
2-What is our "spirit"?
3-Why does our "flesh battle our spirit?
4-What does it mean to be "clothed in righteousness"?
5-Will we remember the day we die?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Mark 10:46-52
46 Then they came to the town of Jericho. As Jesus was leaving there with his followers and a great many people, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting by the road. 47 When he heard that Jesus from Nazareth was walking by, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
48 Many people warned the blind man to be quiet, but he shouted even more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
49 Jesus stopped and said, “Tell the man to come here.”
So they called the blind man, saying, “Cheer up! Get to your feet. Jesus is calling you.” 50 The blind man jumped up, left his coat there, and went to Jesus.
51 Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man answered, “Teacher, I want to see.”
52 Jesus said, “Go, you are healed because you believed.” At once the man could see, and he followed Jesus on the road.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we as followers of Christ must be careful to follow the Bible’s pattern of sound teaching. At times we find ourselves arguing with Your truths and teaching from Scripture, our thoughts being at odds with Bible teaching that doesn’t fit in with the views and lifestyles we’ve chosen which are patterned after the world’s thinking. Yet You are the Author of truth, You know that which will bring us good and that which will bring us harm. Help us not to read and interpret Scripture so that it aligns with our view point, instead we want to align our view point in accordance with the Scriptures. We want to love You with all our heart so that we will follow the pattern of sound doctrine and walk in accordance with the Scripture. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
