Tuesday April 19, 2016 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A great tragedy is that many people don't know that they don't know-
2-I love you for who I am, not for who you are-
3-Spend your energy becoming rather than accumulating-
4-Joy grows in the soil of praise-
5-Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered you will never grow-

STRANGE THOUGHT-A carpet is a dog that enjoys riding in an automobile-

I'VE LEARNED-No matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to be goofy with-

DID YOU KNOW-It takes an average of 48-100 tries to solve a Rubik's Cube puzzle.  If done perfectly, any Rubik's Cube combination can be solved in 17 turns-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-In the old testament what does "ariel" mean?
2-Can we make an idol of personal goals, personal assets, political positions or social status?
3-Where in scripture is the only place a gentile ruler is said to be "anointed"?
4-What is success?
5-The old testament talks about "circumcising your heart".  What does this mean?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said “The Lord has appointed you to lead his people.'
Answer for today     Samuel    1 Samuel 10:1

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     1 Corinthians 10:13
13 The only temptation that has come to you is that which everyone has. But you can trust God, who will not permit you to be tempted more than you can stand. But when you are tempted, he will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

God, help me look for the "way of escape" when I am tempted to do wrong.  Thank you that you are faithful to provide a way out in every circumstance-

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
