Wednesday August 31, 2016 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-They who kneel to pray will not stumble-
2-Love that goes upward is worship, love that goes outward is affection, love that stoops is grace-
3-Romance is seeking perfection, love is forgiving faults-
4-Money doesn't change people it only unmasks them-
5-Courage is putting your fears aside and doing what needs to be done-

STRANGE THOUGHT-After a certain age, if you say something outrageous everyone will think it is cute.  Take advantage of it-

I'VE LEARNED-Love yourself wholeheartedly-

DID YOU KNOW-During WW2, America tried to train bats to drop bombs-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Would you steal food to keep your children from going hungry?
2-Is the church looking for conformists rather than individual thinkers?
3-Why do we think someone is unbiblical when they do not agree with our theology?
4-Can we ever give ourselves completely to God?
5-How can we be assured the Bible is God's word to us?

BIBLE TRIVIA-"Mordecai the Jew was second in importance to King Xerxes, and he was the most important man among the Jewish people. His fellow Jews respected him very much, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the safety of all the Jewish people" is the last verse of what book of the Bible?
Answer for today     Esther

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Isaiah 53:4-5
But he took our suffering on him
And felt our pain for us.
    We saw his suffering
And thought God was punishing him.
But he was wounded for the wrong we did;
He was crushed for the evil we did.
The punishment, which made us well, was given to him,
And we are healed because of his wounds.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, I know you came primarily for our spiritual healing, but I also know that during your earthly ministry you brought physical healing.  So,  I want to affirm to you that I thank you for both.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
