Wednesday September 13, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-When you are standing at the intersection of your skill and God's call, you are standing at the corner of Promised Land Ave and Glory Days Boulevard-
2-What brings you joy says a lot about who you are-
3-You don't have to seek God's blessing, all you have to do is seek God and his blessings come automatically from him-
4-Having a place to go is home.  Having someone to love is family.  Having both is a blessing-
5-The chains of habit are generally too small to be felt until they are too strong to be broken-

STRANGE THOUGHT
H2O is hot water and C2O is cold water-

I'VE LEARNED
Charity gives itself rich, covetousness hoards itself poor-

DID YOU KNOW
A standard grave measures 7'8" by 3'2" by 6'

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What caused the one thief to say to Jesus "Remember me when you come into your kingdom?
2-Was the sign put on Jesus' cross a proclamation or a mockery?
3-Why was there two additional crosses on Calvary with Jesus, why not more, only one or none?
4-Was Golgotha a regular crucifixion site?
5-Could it be that the two crosses on Calvary with Jesus symbolize God's gift to us of choice?

BIBLE TRIVIA
2 Peter 2:22    “A dog goes back to what it has thrown up,” and, “After a pig is washed, it goes back and rolls in the mud.”
This new testament passage is found in what old testament book?
Answer for today      Proverbs 26:11

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Psalm 4:6-8   Many people ask, “Who will give us anything good?” Lord, be kind to us.
But you have made me very happy, happier than they are, even with all their grain and new wine.
I go to bed and sleep in peace, because, Lord, only you keep me safe.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, I am grateful for your gifts of gladness and peace today-

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
