Friday April 24, 2020 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A small thing done in Jesus name is no small thing-
2-A lack of a guilty conscience is not a stamp of approval-
3-Faith is not intelligent understanding but a deliberate commitment to God where I see no way-
4-We don’t need more programs in the church, we need more of God’s presence-
5-Nothing can counterfeit  the presence of God-

STRANGE THOUGHT
When a clock is hungry, it goes back four seconds-

I’VE LEARNED
Apples (not caffeine) are more efficient at waking you up in the morning-

DID YOU KNOW
What is the 3rd day of creation?
Created  the land, the sea, and vegetation-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Don’t we see Jesus’ love as much in the people he tolerated as in the pain he endured?
2-Why is the cross the symbol of the Christian faith?
3-If Jesus is part of the Trinity, how can we say that Jesus’ is between us and God interceding for us?
4-At his crucifixion, Jesus cried out “My God, My God….”.  Why did he use the name God instead of Father?
5-Beside the physical pain, what did Jesus feel?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Which epistle says that parents are to provide for their children, not vice versa?
Answer for today        2 Corinthians     12:14

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
You know that in the past you were living in a worthless way, a way passed down from the people who lived before you. But you were saved from that useless life. You were bought, not with something that ruins like gold or silver, but with the precious blood of Christ, who was like a pure and perfect lamb.             1 Peter 1:18-19 NCV

PRAYER

Father, help us to live daily with an urgency to share the Gospel with those around us-

I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU STRENGTH IN YOUR STRUGGLE, PEACE IN YOUR PAIN, AND VICTORY IN YOUR VALLEY
