98 Your commands make me wiser than my enemies,
    Because they are mine forever.
99 I am wiser than all my teachers,
Because I think about your rules.
100 I have more understanding than the elders,
    Because I follow your orders.
101 I have avoided every evil way
So I could obey your word.
102 I haven’t walked away from your laws,
Because you yourself are my teacher.
103 Your promises are sweet to me,
Sweeter than honey in my mouth!
104 Your orders give me understanding,
    So I hate lying ways.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, You have taught us to be very careful how we live, not as unwise but as wise followers of Jesus, the very essence of Truth. In today’s society of noncommittal attitudes or “whatever rings your bell” way of thinking (or non-thinking) we choose to be committed, sober, and vigilant about the way we live our lives in accordance to what we believe. We walk as sensible, thinking people with a due sense of responsibility, not as those who don’t know or care about the meaning of life here or the life yet to come. We care deeply about the temporal and eternal destiny of our lives and therefore we seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness above all. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!

We are a redeemed people because You gave Your only begotten Son so that we would not perish but have eternal life. Just as Simeon and Anna awaited the first coming of the Messiah, we await the second coming of Christ’s return when we will be caught up in the air and will reign forever in the eternal heavens. May we be found steadfast, sober, expectant and alert awaiting the day of Your promised return. Keep us faithful and watchful until that glorious event takes place in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

To anyone who obeys your orders.
64 Lord, your love fills the earth.
    Teach me your demands.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, even as You spoke to the prophets of long ago You still speak to the hearts of Your people. You’ve called us out from among the world to stand for righteousness in a godless society. You will not be silenced in a world full of noisy gongs and clanging symbols. As we contemplate the Christmas story young Mary is a prime example of one whose yielded heart withstood the ridicule and awkwardness of her special role in the conception and birth of the Savior of the world. You continue to speak to us who choose to fear the law of God rather than the law of man. Help us to turn our ears away from perishable and worthless noisy gongs. Instead captivate our hearts for all eternity toward Emmanuel, God with us.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

    The miracles in your teachings.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful man Father, we thank You for Jesus who is the visible form of the One who descended from heaven and presented hope, freedom, truth, love, an grace. He was the very essence of the Word of God. The wait for Messiah spanned some 4000 years and many prophets foretold His coming yet never lived to see it fulfilled. We’re glad to be living at a time when we greatly benefit from the fulfilled prophecy of Christ being born to a virgin, living among us, dying for our sins, rising from the dead and ascending into heaven. We now anticipate His second coming when He will gather the redeemed in the air forevermore to reign in His kingdom where there will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace. There’s no better place for the believer to hang his hat and store his heart’s treasures, those that have lasting, eternal value. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
