Hebrews 10:11-14     Every priest goes to work at the altar each day, offers the same old sacrifices year in, year out, and never makes a dent in the sin problem. As a priest, Christ made a single sacrifice for sins, and that was it! Then he sat down right beside God and waited for his enemies to cave in. It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-God will turn our tomb into a womb out of which we will be born with a perfect body into a perfect world-

2-God can sometimes use our suffering as a sermon to change others or to change us-

3-God's grace is a gift.  We don't earn it but we can lose it-

4-Guilt can stir up repentance and renewal.  So in the right dosage it is a blessing-

5-Guilt, most often, is an unbearable burden-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT

If the black box, flight recorder, is never damaged during a plane crash, why don't they make the rest of the plane out of that same stuff?

Say what you mean, but don't say it mean-

1-Could Judas have been forgiven for his betrayal of Jesus?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY

Hebrews 9:23-26     That accounts for the prominence of blood and death in all these secondary practices that point to the realities of heaven. It also accounts for why, when the real thing takes place, these animal sacrifices aren’t needed anymore, having served their purpose. For Christ didn’t enter the earthly version of the Holy Place; he entered the Place Itself, and offered himself to God as the sacrifice for our sins. He doesn’t do this every year as the high priests did under the old plan with blood that was not their own; if that had been the case, he would have to sacrifice himself repeatedly throughout the course of history. But instead he sacrificed himself once and for all, summing up all the other sacrifices in this sacrifice of himself, the final solution of sin.

Father, only your son has the ability to open the door of heaven for me, and he has done that.  I praise you for your grace and your love-

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-The book of Revelation has a two fold purpose.  One is to inform of Jesus return and two is to inform of his ultimate reign on the earth-

2-The history of Christianity has been written in the blood of martyrs-

3-satan is the old testament name of the evil being of hell, and the devil is the new testament name-

4-The name devil means slanderer-"accuser of the brethren"-

5-The name satan means adversary.  He is the adversary of God and every one of Gods children-

What happens when none of your bees wax?

Father, I am humbled to be reconciled to you through Jesus.  Enable me more and more each day to live for you alone-

 

 MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-

4-Our conduct today is affected by what we know of tomorrow-

5-As conditions of our world worsen, Jesus said we shouldn't hang our heads in depression or shake our heads in confusion-
