Sunday November 4, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1-You cannot educate people into the Kingdom of God-
2-Selective obedience is just another form of disobedience-
3-Dishonest people begin to believe the lies they tell-
4-David sinned many times but he was quick to confess his sins, as we should do also-
5-We can experience the joy of forgiveness even when we have to suffer the consequences of our sins-

STRANGE THOUGHT
If all the psychics know the winning lottery numbers, why are they still working?

I'VE LEARNED
Arguing is not communication, it is just noise-

DID YOU KNOW
No one has yet explained satisfactorily why couples who marry in January, February, and March tend to have the highest divorce rates-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why didn't Pilate use his powers to quell the uprising against Jesus?
2-Had Pilate ever heard about Jesus before, his miracles, teachings, etc.?
3-Was it unusual for Jesus to have been scourged prior to being crucified?
4-How could Pilate, a Roman governor, be pressured into doing what the Jews wanted?
5-Did no one come to the defense of Jesus, disciples, family, friends?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Who used rods of poplar, hazel, and chestnut trees to make genetic changes in his cattle?
Answer for today           Jacob          Genesis 30:37-39

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Psalm 84:10-12     One day spent in your house, this beautiful place of worship, beats thousands spent on Greek island beaches.
I’d rather scrub floors in the house of my God than be honored as a guest in the palace of sin.
All sunshine and sovereign is God, generous in gifts and glory.
He doesn't scrimp with his traveling companions. It’s smooth sailing all the way with God-of-the-Angel-Armies.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, guide and direct my steps today.  Help me to walk with you-

- I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART-PEACE IN YOUR SOUL- JOY IN YOUR LIFE ALWAYS-
