Friday November 30, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-There is a difference in being with unbelievers and being one of them-
2-Don't be trapped by the false security of prosperity-
3-Depend on God for your security and you won't be shaken when worldly possessions disappear-
4-God has shown us that he is willing to forgive because his judgement on sin was satisfied by Jesus death on the cross-
5-Forgiveness has always been a part of God's loving nature-

STRANGE THOUGHT
When companies ship Styrofoam what is it packed in?

I'VE LEARNED
The best thing to spend on your children is your time-

DID YOU KNOW
Twenty thousand checks will be deducted from the wrong bank accounts in the next hour-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should Christians not declare bankruptcy except for things beyond their control such as unusual medical expenses or loss of a job, etc?
2-Should Christians try to leave a financial inheritance to their children and  grandchildren?
3-Should Christians always leave a part of their financial estate on death to their places of worship or other ministries they were interested in?
4-How much of a Christians wealth should be left for "God's work" when they die?
5-Should a  Christian try to provide financially for all possibilities associated with old age?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
MARK 4:18-20    "The   seed cast in the weeds represents the ones who hear the kingdom news but are overwhelmed with worries about all the things they have to do and all the things they want to get. The stress strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of it. But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams.”                                      Message

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, help me to remember that my citizenship is found in heaven with you.  This world is not my home-

I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU STRENGTH IN YOUR STRUGGLE, PEACE IN YOUR PAIN, AND VICTORY IN YOUR VALLEY
