Thursday February 26, 2009 thought for the day
A PRETTY SCENE
Here are my thoughts for today
1-"He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding"-
2-"Humility comes before honor"-
3-If you don't win the first game you can't win them all-
4-Will power is not sufficient in dealing with temptations-
5-God created us in his image and desires the best for us, however He will not violate his righteousness by continuing to bless us if we willfully and continually make wrong choices-
Strange thought-LIfe is an endless struggle full of frustration and challenges, but eventually you'll find a hair stylist you like-
I've learned-The measure of a man's character is not what he gets from his ancestors, but what he leaves his descendents-
5 things I want to know
1-Why didn't God send Jesus to be born earlier in history?
2-Does Jesus respond to our prayers or our faith?
3-Why so often does our saddest sad come from what once was our most joyous joy?
4-Does God bless grudging obedience?
5-Will God answer our prayers if we live in disobedience?
Scripture for today Proverbs 16:8-15
8 It is better to be poor and right than to be wealthy and dishonest.
9 People may make plans in their minds, but the Lord decides what they will do.
10 The words of a king are like a message from God, so his decisions should be fair.
11-The Lord wants honest balances and scales, all the weights are his work.
12 Kings hate those who do wrong because governments only continue if they are fair.
13 Kings like honest people, they value someone who speaks the truth.
14 An angry king can put someone to death, so a wise person will try to make him happy.
15 A smiling king can give people life, his kindness is like a spring shower.
I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
