Tuesday March 30, 2010 thought for the day

THE CROSS OF NAILS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Confidence is contagious, so is lack of confidence-
2-Prayer is more than sanctified worry-
3-Things of importance are never found on the run-
4-There is little appreciation by most people for the patient acquisition of virtue-
5-Memories bring back feelings, feelings bring back memories-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A puzzling word in the English language is "economy" for it means the large size in toothpaste, and the small size in automobiles-
I'VE LEARNED-Talk slowly but think quickly-
DID YOU KNOW-Isaac Newton dropped out of school when he was a teenager-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Can one be a Christian and use tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs or be gluttonous?
2-If our body is the Temple of the Lord, why do we abuse our body so?
3-Why are so many Christians obese?
4-Does God need Christian's help in dealing with evil?
5-Should Christians be activists against wrong and injustice?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Whose name meant "help"?
Yesterday's answer-Elisha
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 1:21-28
21 Jesus and his followers went to Capernaum. On the Sabbath day He went to the synagogue and began to teach.
22 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught like a person who had authority, not like their teacher of the law.
23 Just then, a man was there in the synagogue who had an evil spirit in him. He shouted,
24 "Jesus of Nazareth! What do you want with us? Did you come to destroy us? I know who you are--God's Holy One!"
25 Jesus commanded the evil spirt, "Be quiet! Come out of the man!"
26 The evil spirit shook the man violently, gave a loud cry, and then came out of him.
27 The people were so amazed they asked each other, "What is happening here? This man is teaching something new, and with authority. He even gives commands to evil spirits, and they obey him."
28 And the news about Jesus spread quickly everywhere in the area of Galilee.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
