Saturday Ap[ril 17, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Shouting to make your children behave is like steering your car with the horn-
2-Only a fool argues with a skunk, a mule or a cook-
3-No day is complete until you hear the laughter of a child-
4-Many children are spoiled because you can't spank grandparents-
5-The reason most people don't show horse sense is because they don't want to be saddled with responsibility-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A committee is a group of the involuntary appointed by the indecisive to discuss the unnecessary-
I'VE LEARNED-Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home-
DID YOU KNOW-Judy Garland's real name was Frances Gumm
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1- Would Jesus' tomb have been destroyed over the centuries?
2-Was Jesus' tomb used again later by Joseph of Arimathea?
3-Is it important to know the exact location of Jesus' tomb?
4-Did Jesus have perfect health during his lifetime?
5-Why didn't Jesus first appear after the resurrection to all the disciples together?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What Bible person's name meant "peace"?
Yesterday's answer-Job
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY- MARK 4:35-41
35 That evening, Jesus said to his followers, "Let's go across the lake."
36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him in the boat just as he was. There were also other boats with them.
37 A very strong wind came up on lake. The waves came over the sides and into the boat so that it was already full of water.
38 Jesus was at the back of the boat, sleeping with his head on a cushion. His followers woke him and said, "Teacher, don't you care that we are drowning!"
39 Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind stopped, and it became completely calm.
40 Jesus said to his followers, "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?"
41 The followers were very afraid and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
