Thursday April 1, 2010 thought for the day

JESUS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him-
2-If you were somebody else, would you want to be friends with you?
3-Healing comes through brokenness-
4-The worst part about being over the hill is that you don't recall ever being on top of it-
5-Often we pray for those things for which we should be working-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Generally, helpful hints aren't-
I'VE LEARNED-When you lose, don't lose the lesson-
DID YOU KNOW-Albert Einstein couldn't speak fluently when he was nine. His parents thought he might be mentally retarded.
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What caused Joseph of Arimathea to be a disciple of Jesus?
2-How many people are called disciples in the New Testament?
3-How could the human side of Jesus stand to suffer the pain of flogging, crown of thorns and then a crucifixion?
4-Had Jesus ever suffered pain prior to Good Friday?
5-How could Jesus possibly say "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do!" Did God forgive them?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Whose name meant "love's embrace"-
Yesterday's answer-Gideon
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 1:40-45
40 A man with a skin disease came to Jesus. He fell to his knees and begged Jesus, "You can heal me if you will."
41 Jesus felt sorry for the man, so he reached out his hand and touched him and said, "I will. Be healed!"
42 Immediately the disease left the man, and he was healed.
43 Jesus told the man to go away at once, but he warned him strongly,
44 "Don't tell anyone about this. But go and show yourself to the priest. And offer the gift Moses commanded for people who are made well. This will show the people what I have done."
45 The man left there, but he began to tell everyone that Jesus had healed him, and so he spread the news about Jesus. As a result, Jesus could not enter a town if people saw him. He stayed in places where nobody lived, but people came to him from everywhere.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
