Jesus Is Greater than Moses

Our Salvation Is Great

God Spoke Through His Son

STRANGE THOUGHT-You can't chose your ancestors, but would they have chosen you?

I'VE LEARNED-The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime-

DID YOU KNOW-In England in the 1880's, the word pants was considered a dirty word-

1-Did Jesus know he would go into hell after his crucifixion?

2-Should we ask God for a "giant oak tree" or just a small sapling?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 JOHN 5:13-21

We Have Eternal Life Now

¹³ I write this letter to you who believe in the Son of God so you will know you have eternal life.¹⁴ And this is the boldness we have in God's presence: that if we ask God for anything that agrees with what he wants, he hears us.¹⁵ If we know he hears us every time we ask him, we know we have what we ask from him.

¹⁶ If anyone sees a brother or sister sinning (sin that does not lead to eternal death), that person should pray, and God will give the sinner life. I am talking about people whose sin does not lead to eternal death. There is sin that leads to death. I do not mean that a person should pray about that sin.¹⁷ Doing wrong is always sin, but there is sin that does not lead to eternal death.

¹⁸ We know that those who are God's children do not continue to sin. The Son of God keeps them safe, and the Evil One cannot touch them.¹⁹ We know that we belong to God, but the Evil One controls the whole world.²⁰ We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we can know the True One. And our lives are in the True One and in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and the eternal life.

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY 1-It is not hard to die for Jesus is you have already died with Jesus- 2-Neglecting God leads to ignoring God which lead to displacing God which lead to replacing God- 3-The greatest sin is rejecting/replacing God- 4-Neglect is the first step in falling away from God- 5-Doubt precedes fear- STRANGE THOUGHT-A word to the wise isn't necessary, it is the unwise who could use the advice- I'VE LEARNED-Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable- DID YOU KNOW-Only four words in the English language end in dous: tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous- 5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW 1-At what point in the future will Jesus return again? 2-Does the events unfolding in Egypt have anything to do with the beginning of end time events? 3-Are we now living in the closing period of time as we know it to be? 4-What is the Kingdom of God that is coming? 5-How much responsibility to our neighbors do we have in the social area? HERE ARE MY COLD WINTRY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-Submission to God's will may mean waiting for his timing-

2-There is healing in love-

3-Life's greatest question--How much does God have of me?

4-Don't seek the blessing, seek the blesser-

5-You can have just enough of Jesus to make you miserable-

STRANGE THOUGHT-A young mother was overheard to say, "I'd like to be the perfect mother but I'm just too busy raising my kids!"

I'VE LEARNED-One of the nice things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young-

DID YOU KNOW-The words racecar and kayak are palindromes; they're the same whether they are read left to right or right to left-

1-How are we to understand that Jesus was both man and God as a human?

2-When did Jesus know he was more than human?

3-Could Jesus have died another kind of death as a sin offering other than crucifixion?

4-Did the death of Jesus on the cross pay the full penalty of our sin even if we don't acknowledge or accept it?

5-After the resurrection, why didn't Jesus appear to the Roman authorities or the Jewish leaders?

1-The Word of God keeps those who keep the Word of God-

2-Sometimes we need to pray one more time before we quit-

5-Don't ever feel bad for a Christian who has been called home-

STRANGE THOUGHT-The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance-

I'VE LEARNED-Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction-

DID YOU KNOW-The only contemporary words that end with gry are angry and hungry-

Jesus Is Our Helper

¹ My dear children, I write this letter to you so you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have a helper in the presence of the Father—Jesus Christ, the One who does what is right. ² He died in our place to take away our sins, and not only our sins but the sins of all people.

³ We can be sure that we know God if we obey his commands.⁴ Anyone who says, "I know God," but does not obey God's commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.⁵ But if someone obeys God's teaching, then in that person God's love has truly reached its goal. This is how we can be sure we are living in God:⁶ Whoever says that he lives in God must live as Jesus lived.
