HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-Money should never become the object and end of your motivation-

2-Making money isn't the backbone of your guiding purpose, it is the by product of your guiding purpose-

3-Our love for one another is the fruit, not the root, of our relationship with God-

4-A sense of humor can help you overlook the unattractive, tolerate the unpleasant, cope with the unexpected and smile through the unbearable-

5-Laughter is the health of the soul-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Mothers are guinea pigs in a scientific experiment to prove that sleep is unnecessary for human existence-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Money doesn't buy class-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Did the Sermon on the Mount (based on love) replace the 10 commandments (based on laws)?

2-Why didn't and why don't the Jewish people understand that Jesus came as a deliverer of people, not a nation?

3-How does salt lose its taste?

4-Is tasteless salt good for anything?

5-How can we "shine our light" so that others can see the "good" we do and will praise God, without drawing attention to ourselves?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY     Matthew 23:33-36

³³ "You are snakes! A family of poisonous snakes! How are you going to escape God's judgment? ³⁴ So I tell you this: I am sending to you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify. Some of them you will beat in your synagogues and chase from town to town.³⁵ So you will be guilty for the death of all the good people who have been killed on earth—from the murder of that good man Abel to the murder of Zechariah^[a] son of Berakiah, whom you murdered between the Temple and the altar. ³⁶ I tell you the truth, all of these things will happen to you people who are living now.

 

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, You have called us to be faithful witnesses wherever we live and in whatever we do.  You haven’t delegated this responsibility just to those in vocational ministries, but to all who have experienced Your forgiveness through salvation.  By Your grace we will be shining lights throughout our darkened nation so that others will see the glory of Christ in our lives and hear the message of hope in our faithful witness.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.

 

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND.
