HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Just because you can afford something doesn't mean you should buy
it-
2-Personal heart change is a necessary first step toward personal life
change-
3-Your children will tend to love those who you love-
4-Home is the primary place where our faith is lived out-
5-Don't lose your life chasing after something God didn't intend for you to
catch-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Get all you can, can all you get, sit on the can-
I'VE LEARNED-Maturity begins to grow when you can sense your concern for
others outweighing your concern for yourself-
DID YOU KNOW-The Bible has been translated into Klingon-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did the Northern Kingdom of Israel have any God fearing kings?
2-Who were the worst rulers of the northern kingdom of Israel?
3-If Solomon was so wise, why would he take 1000+ women as wives and
concubines?
4-1st and 2nd Kings were originally one book. When, why and by whom was it
made into two books?
5-When was Judah destroyed as a nation?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who was healed of leprosy after dipping seven times in the
Jordan river?
Naaman the Syrian 2 Kings 5:14
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
14 So Naaman went down and dipped in the Jordan seven
times, just as Elisha had said. Then his skin became new again, like the skin of
a child. And he was clean.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, the example of Hezekiah reminds us that doing
our work diligently and honestly is pleasing in Your sight. We are to seek You
wholeheartedly as we carry out our responsibilities, whether it is at work or at
home. In our temporal earthy dwelling we want to apply eternal kingdom
principles in all we do and say rather than possessing a complaining, discontent
demeanor. As we are faithful in pursuing righteousness and spreading peace and
joy You prosper us in our family relations, our places of employment, our
relationships, and in our financial endeavors. We thank You for Your blessings
in the name of Jesus. Amen.
