Tuesday February 10, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Your identity is not what you do but who you are-
2-The consequences of today are determined by the actions of the past.  To change your future, change your decisions of today-
3-Habit, if not resisted, soon becomes necessity-
4-Prayer is where burdens change shoulders-
5-Kindness is like a boomerang, for what you send out comes back to you-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Silence is either golden or suspicious-

I'VE LEARNED-The person who has an unforgiving spirit is always the real loser, much more so than the one against whom the grudge is held-

DID YOU KNOW-Paedophobia is a fear of children-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is God just in allowing innocent people to be killed from someone else's wrongdoing-
2-God told David he would not build the temple, but he did allow him to do most of the preplanning and preparations.  Why?
3-Was king David known as a man of peace or a man of war?
4-Jeremiah said "in that day Jerusalem will be known as the throne of the Lord".  When is that day as much of Jerusalem today is Muslim?
5-Is it possible the Ark of the Covenant has been destroyed.  If not, what has happened to it?

BIBLE TRIVIA-How did God water the thirsty army of Israel?
He ordered them to dig trenches, and in the morning they were filled with water      2 Kings 3:14-22

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
14 Elisha said, “As surely as the Lord All-Powerful lives, whom I serve, I tell you the truth. I wouldn’t even look at you or notice you if Jehoshaphat king of Judah were not here. I respect him. 15 Now bring me someone who plays the harp.”
While the harp was being played, the Lord gave Elisha power. 16 Then Elisha said, “The Lord says to dig holes in the valley. 17 The Lord says you won’t see wind or rain, but the valley will be filled with water. Then you, your cattle, and your other animals can drink. 18 This is easy for the Lord to do; he will also hand Moab over to you. 19 You will destroy every strong, walled city and every important town. You will cut down every good tree and stop up all springs. You will ruin every good field with rocks.”
20 The next morning, about the time the sacrifice was offered, water came from the direction of Edom and filled the valley.
21 All the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them. So they gathered everyone old enough to put on armor and waited at the border. 22 But when the Moabites got up early in the morning, the sun was shining on the water. They saw the water across from them, and it looked as red as blood.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Thankful manFather, we look at Elijah who took a mighty stand for You during the plague of unbelief that spread throughout the land of Israel. And yet there were moments when he allowed the Mindset of the unbelievers, instead of the absolutes stated in Your Word, to weaken him, leading him to think that he was alone in standing true for You.  But You sent word to Elijah, that You have a remnant more interested in obeying You than bowing down to the ever-evolving philosophies of their generation. When we stand with You, Almighty God, we are a majority no matter the number of evil forces we oppose. Keep us looking upward as we walk onward in the truths of Your Holy Scripture. In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
