HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-We really don't know what kind of people we are until our cup spills over-

2-Children are like wet cement-whatever falls on them leaves an impression-

3-The hours that make us happy make us wise-

4-I find the harder I work the more luck I have-

5-All choices have their consequences

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why limit happy to an hour?

 

I'VE LEARNED-Cry with someone.  It is more healing than crying alone-

 

DID YOU KNOW-The food of the Greek gods was called ambrosia-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-What does the word "amen" mean?

2-Was the Mary and Joseph story a scandal?

3-Why did God choose the name Jesus given to Mary's son when it was such a common name (Joshua)?

4-Why wasn't Jesus given the proper name of "Emmanuel"?

5-Why doesn't the Bible record a marriage of Mary and Joseph?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Romans 8:35-37

³⁵ Can anything separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can troubles or problems or sufferings or hunger or nakedness or danger or violent death? ³⁶ As it is written in the Scriptures:

“For you we are in danger of death all the time.
    People think we are worth no more than sheep to be killed.” Psalm 44:22

³⁷ But in all these things we are completely victorious through God who showed his love for us.

 

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

 

-Jesus, thank you for your faithfulness and love in valleys and on mountaintops.  Use me to bless those I know who are in a valley.
