Tuesday January 5, 2016 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The saddest words ever said-"It might have been" or Why didn't I" or "I wish I had of"-
2-Things you don't treasure much are not hard to give up-
3-You can't feed people who are not hungry-
4-Nothing is ever lost through courtesy-
5-When you are at peace with yourself, anyplace is home-

STRANGE THOUGHT-You can't shake hands with a clenched fist-

I'VE LEARNED-Pay off your credit cards every month-

DID YOU KNOW-More popcorn is sold in Dallas than anywhere else in the US-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How can we say God is in control of this world when there is such violent and vicious evil, terrible disasters of nature, no respect for life (born or unborn) etc, and outright rejection of him?
2-If God didn't want Israel to have a king, why did he already have one picked out?
3-David is said to have fought off a bear and a lion with his bare hands.  Can this be true?
4-How old was David when he was anointed as king and when he was made king?
5-Can we imagine what God can do through us for his kingdom?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Whose acts are recorded on "the book of Iddo the seer"?
Answer for today   Rehoboam     2 Chronicles 12:15

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY  Psalm 32:3-4
When I kept things to myself,
I felt weak deep inside me.
    I moaned all day long.
Day and night you punished me.
My strength was gone as in the summer heat.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Lord, clinging to sin takes my eyes off of you and robs me of my vitality.  Remind me of your fatherly love, help me choose forgiveness and keep me from taking the first step toward sin.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
