Sunday September 25, 2016 thought for the day

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1-When love is present no sacrifice is too great-
2-Christian-everything you do in life is for Jesus-
3-No matter how dark the "now" is there will be light enough in God's "after" to explain the darkness-
4-Loneliness and aloneness are not the same-
5-Reading your Bible prevents truth decay-

STRANGE THOUGHT-One nice thing about egotists is they don't talk about other people-

I'VE LEARNED-Whoever you are, there is some younger person who thinks you are perfect-

DID YOU KNOW-During the time of Peter the Great, any man who wore a beard was required to pay a special tax-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What does it costs you to be loving?
2-Why is it the more we love the more vulnerable we are?
3-Is there room for retribution in the christian vocabulary?
4-What is the difference in anger and indignation?
5-How much does our environment influence our behavior?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Romans 10:16 “Lord, who believed what we told them."  This new testament verse is a quotation from what old testament book?
Answer for today     Isaiah

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Romans 12:1-2
So brothers and sisters, since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him. Your offering must be only for God and pleasing to him, which is the spiritual way for you to worship. Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, renew my mind today.  Help me to live obediently to you rather than in conformity with  the world, that I might live a life that pleases you-

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART-PEACE IN YOUR SOUL- JOY IN YOUR LIFE-ALWAYS-
