Monday December 12, 2016 thought for the day

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1-We are to stand on God's promises, not sit on his premises-
2-The time between asking and receiving is called patience-
3-If you are a child of God, you should act like it-
4-All circumstances are subject to change-
5-As long as you worry about your problems God is not involved-

STRANGE THOUGHT
When the going gets tough, everybody leaves-

I'VE LEARNED
Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not yet come.  We only have today so let's begin-

DID YOU KNOW
World wide, there are more statues of Joan of Arc than of anyone else.  France alone has about forty thousand of them-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should Christians always be able to reconcile?
2-Must Jesus first be our Savior or be our Lord?
3-Do we sin because we are sinners or are we sinners because we sin?
4-Can anything separate us from the love Jesus has for us?
5-What can we do so Jesus will accept us?

BIBLE TRIVIA
According to tradition, who wrote the book of Job?
Answer for today    Moses

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Hebrews 4:12  God’s word is alive and working and is sharper than a double-edged sword. It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined, to the center of our joints and bones. And it judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, use your Word to do the surgery in my spiritual life that needs to be done.  Remove what needs  to be removed, replace what must be replaced, so that I might live for you with all my heart-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
