Thursday March 23, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-As Christians our actions need to match our words-
2-To be productive for God, we must obey his teachings-
3-Do not allow money to take the place of family, friends or God-
4-Idolatry is not just bowing down to idols, it is also trusting in what you have made-
5-If we say we worship God but put our trust in bank accounts, homes, businesses and organizations, we are idolaters-

STRANGE THOUGHT

I'VE LEARNED
When there is the opportunity, get together with old classmates, old colleagues and old friends-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How did the Magi know to ask "where is He who is born King of the Jews"?
2-What was the place of Jesus birth-a shed, a stall, a cave, etc?
3-Did Isaac's feelings for Rebekah change after she helped deceive him in giving his blessings to the wrong son?
4-Was there any significance to Jesus being born in an animal place?
5-Would Mary have had attendants at the birth of Jesus?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Who said   "These things did not really come from me and my people.
    Everything comes from you;
We have given you back what you gave us."
Answer for today   David

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
2 Corinthians 3:4-6   We can say this, because through Christ we feel certain before God. We are not saying that we can do this work ourselves. It is God who makes us able to do all that we do. He made us able to be servants of a new agreement from himself to his people. This new agreement is not a written law, but it is of the Spirit. The written law brings death, but the Spirit gives life.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, by your grace, make me an effective messenger of your gospel-

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE
