Monday Januay 8, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God plays his most beautiful symphonies on broken instruments-
2-The pain of your loss is living proof of the joy you possessed-
3-To give largely, liberally and cheerfully requires a new heart-
4-Hope is the raw material from which faith builds the house-
5-Monumental consequences are shaped by momentary choices-

STRANGE THOUGHTS
Where is the first math problem mentioned in the Bible?
Answer    God told Adam and Eve to go forth and multiply-

I'VE LEARNED
Forgive your enemies as a part of the price you pay for the privilege of being forgiven-

DID YOU KNOW
The killer whale is not a whale but the largest member of the dolphin family-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why weren't the Jews looking for the  Messiah in Bethlehem?
2-If Jesus was alone in the desert for 40 days and nights, who did he tell his experience to?
3-What did Jesus write on the ground before the pharisees and the shamed women.  Could it have been the names of those there that had had sex with her?
4-Why did Jesus not chose a family member to be one of his disciples
5-Why do Christians emphasize certain sins as wrong while approving or ignoring others?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Who said   "Hate evil and love good; be fair in the courts.
Maybe the Lord God All-Powerful will be kind to the people of Joseph who are left alive."
Answer     Amos

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Matthew 11:27   “My Father has given me all things. No one knows the Son, except the Father. And no one knows the Father, except the Son and those whom the Son chooses to tell."

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Jesus, I am willing to listen.  Teach me what it means to know the Father's love-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
