Wednesday April 10, 2019 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-What Abel began with the first sacrifice Jesus completed with his sacrifice-
2-The conversion of a soul is the miracle of a moment, but the making of a saint is  the task of a lifetime-
3-Discouraged people don’t need critics, they need encouragement-
4-Pessimistic reasoning continually focuses on the potential downside of the future and prompts worry-
5-Easter is the rest of the Christmas story-

STRANGE THOUGHT
Local high school dropouts cut in half-

I’VE LEARNED
Worrying about the future hampers your efforts for today-

DID YOU KNOW
The muzzle of a lion is like a fingerprint, no two lions have the same pattern of whiskers-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should the Song of Solomon be viewed as spiritual or literal?
2-Are angels created with the ability to make choices?
3-Were all heavenly angels created by God at one time?
4-What caused satan, when he was an angel, to rebel against God, since there was no outside evil influence as there is today?
5-Did satan know what the consequences would be of his rebellion against God?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Who hid a hundred prophets in a cave when Jezebel was trying to kill them?
Answer for today      Obadiah     1 Kings 18:4  For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely will one die for a righteous man, yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commended His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
       Romans 5:6-8 KJ21
PRAYER

Father, thank you for holding me up when my burdens are heavy-

LIVE SIMPLY, LOVE GENEROUSLY, CARE DEEPLY, SPEAK KINDLY, LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD
