HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-The true christian prayer-Lord, your will be done, nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else-

2-Kindness is Christianity with its work clothes on-

3-The nail pierced hands of Jesus reveal the love filled heart of God-

4-It is far better to forgive and forget than to resent and remember-

5-The same God who is in your today is also in your tomorrow-

 

Strange thought-Second place means first loser-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger-

 

DID YOU KNOW-British politician John Montague, the 46th Earl of Sandwich, is credited with naming the sandwich.  He developed the habit of eating beef between slices of toast so he could continue playing cards uninterrupted.

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Is there an intermediary place (Paradise) between earth and the new heaven and is there an intermediary place (Hades) between earth and hell?

2-Do people currently in heaven see what is happening on earth?

3-Do those in heaven pray for those on earth?

4-If prayer is simply talking to God, will we pray more in heaven than we do on earth?

5-Jesus grieved for people while on earth.  Now that he is in heaven, does he still grieve for them?

I'VE LEARNED-Get rid of anything that isn't useful.  Clutter weighs you down in many ways-

1-Though the rest of the earth fell under human sin, was Eden treated differently?

2-Was Eden created by God from nothing or had it come from God's dwelling place and transplanted to earth?

3-Did God ever come again to visit Adam and Eve after they were banished from Eden?

4-After death, when do we receive resurrected bodies?

1-In God's book of remembrance, "faithful" and "famous" are the same word-

2-Remembering who you are will affect what you are-

4-Real love is helping someone for Jesus' sake who can never return the favor-

5-Even if you are on the right track, you won't get anywhere if you just sit there-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Old age is having a choice of two temptations and choosing the one that will get you home the earliest-

1-Did Eden remain just as it was when Adam and Eve left it or was it destroyed?

1-The Bible says the temple in heaven is filled with the smoke of God.  Is this as we know smoke to be (from a real fire) or is this a figure of speech?

3-Are heaven and earth opposites-one spiritual and one material?

4-Did God create earth in the image of heaven?

5-Will there be community and culture in the new heaven?

5-When we get to heaven, will we have all of God's knowledge?

1-How can we say God is in control of this world when there is such violent and vicious evil, terrible disasters of nature, no respect for life (born or unborn) etc, and outright rejection of him?

2-If God didn't want Israel to have a king, why did he already have one picked out?

3-David is said to have fought off a bear and a lion with his bare hands.  Can this be true?

4-How old was David when he was anointed as king and when he was made king?

5-Can we imagine what God can do through us for his kingdom?

1-God provided forgiveness before we even knew we were sorry-

2-The more you love, the more your differences hurt-

3-The degree to which we are able to forgive others is the degree to which we can be open to the love of Jesus in our lives-

4-Joy is love when it is shared-

5-Opportunities are rarely labeled opportunities-

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-Those who love are never alone-

2-Before God can direct our path, we must move our feet-

3-We are so busy looking for the darkness that we don't see the light-

4-Christians fight with victory, not for it-

5-God has no throw away people-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Never yell through the screen door, it will strain your voice-

I'VE LEARNED-    When in doubt, take the next small step-

DID YOU KNOW-On average, Americans eat eighteen acres of pizza every day-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Was the Holy Spirit in Eden, was Jesus there or was only God the father there?

2-Was God in a special part of Eden or in the whole area?

3-Did the serpent talk to Eve more than once?

4-Is the sin measure that people are born with given in the same measure to all people?  Some people seem to have a severe inclination toward evil even as little children.

5-Why do some people seem to be born with a violent destructive nature and others with a loving peaceful nature?

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-We are most like beasts when we kill, we are most like man when we judge and we are mosts like God when we forgive-

2-Whatever good you withhold in marriage becomes a point of contention-

3-Forgiving is giving up my right to hurt you for hurting me or someone I love-

4-It is better to build children than to repair adults-

5-Don't complain about farmers with your mouth full-

STRANGE THOUGHT-When the family is eating lasagna I say to the children "lean over your plate and you'll get less on ya"-

I'VE LEARNED-Life isn't fair but it is still good-

DID YOU KNOW-A can of Spam is opened every four seconds-

1-Did Adam and Eve ever encounter the serpent prior to the time of testing?

2-Did Adam and Eve not know about who satan was?

3-Would the serpent have been one of the animals to pass by Adam for naming?

4-Could Adam and Eve communicate with any of the other animals in Eden?

5-Did the serpent look like snakes of today or was it a different creature?

Holy Spirit, thank you for helping me recognize my sin.  Jesus, thank you for taking on the punishment for my sin. Thank you, God, for the grace filled process of forgiveness-
