Friday June 18, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Jesus did not give us a plan of action, a code of ethics or a program of reforms but wonderful illuminating contradictions-
2-Christianity is an experience, not a body of ideas or principles-
3-The best things in life cannot be kept, they must be shared---a smile, a hug, a kiss, love--
4-A friend is one who knows the song in my heart and sings it to me when I forget the words-
5-There are two ways to spread light, be the candle or the mirror that reflects it-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Heck is reserved for those who don't give a dang-
I'VE LEARNED-The happiest people don't have everything, they just make the best of everything they have-
DID YOU KNOW-M*A*S*H stood for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-The false prophet will make an image of the anti Christ that will speak and appear to be human. Will it be so or a technological trick that will deceive people?
2-Is the anti Christ controlled by Satan?
3-Who causes a mark on the forehead or the right hand-the anti Christ, the false prophet or the image that appears to speak?
4-Will Christians be able to buy or sell without the mark on their forehead or right hand?
5-Does the anti Christ give the Jews permission to rebuild the Jerusalem Temple?
BIBLE TRIVIA-If an Israelite man took a female prisoner of war as his wife, what did she have to do to her hair?
Yesterday's answer-The Levites
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 13:1-8
1 As Jesus was leaving the Temple, One of his followers said to him, "Look Teacher! How beautiful the buildings are! How big the stones are!"
2 Jesus said, "Do you see all these great buildings? Not one stone will be left on another. Every stone will be thrown down to the ground."
3 Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, opposite the Temple, he was alone with Peter, James, John and Andrew. They asked Jesus,
4 "Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are going to happen?"
5 Jesus began to answer them, "Be careful that no one fools you.
6 Many people will come in my name, saying, 'I am the one.' and they will fool many people.
7 When you hear about wars and stories of wars that are coming, don't be afraid. These things must happen before the end comes.
8 Nations will fight against other nations, and kingdoms against other kingdoms. There will be earth quakes in different places, and there will be times when there is no food for people to eat. These things are like the first pains when something new is about to be born.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
