Monday December 1, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Who you become is determined by who you follow-
2-Your wish is not God's command, but God's command should be your wish-
3-The greatest tragedy in life are the prayers that go unanswered because they go unasked-
4-We pray out of our ignorance but God answers out of his omnipotence-
5-Your prayers should be specific not vague-

STRANGE THOUGHT-If each day is a gift, where can I return mondays?

I'VE LEARNED-Showing grace means we are to be kinder to people than they deserve-

DID YOU KNOW-Elvis loved to eat meat loaf-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Judas know fully the serious consequences of his betraying Jesus?
2-Was Judas betrayal of Jesus a long thought out process or  split second decision?
3-Jesus said he would be in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights.  If his death and entombment was on Friday and his resurrection was on Sunday morning, there would be 3 different days but not 3 night.  Explain-
4-Is it possible the last supper took place on Wednesday evening followed by the crucifixion and burial on Thursday?
5-Is Jesus the one who "blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts"?

BIBLE TRIVIA-How was the woman with the issue of blood healed by Jesus?
Answer for today   she touched the hem of his garment   Matthew 9:20-22

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Mark 1:40-45
40 A man with a skin disease came to Jesus. He fell to his knees and begged Jesus, “You can heal me if you will.”

41 Jesus felt sorry for the man, so he reached out his hand and touched him and said, “I will. Be healed!” 42 Immediately the disease left the man, and he was healed.

43 Jesus told the man to go away at once, but he warned him strongly, 44 “Don’t tell anyone about this. But go and show yourself to the priest. And offer the gift Moses commanded for people who are made well.[a] This will show the people what I have done.” 45 The man left there, but he began to tell everyone that Jesus had healed him, and so he spread the news about Jesus. As a result, Jesus could not enter a town if people saw him. He stayed in places where nobody lived, but people came to him from everywhere.

    1:44 Moses . . . Well Read about this in Leviticus 14:1–32.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manFather, You were King of the heavens before there was time and You will be King for all eternity. What joy and assurance that truth brings to our spirits today in light of the increasing evil of our day. Our temporal burdens are lightened when we transport our hearts to the New Jerusalem where there is no temple in the City because You, Lord God Almighty are the City’s temple. The City won’t need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because Your glory is its light, and the Lamb is the City’s lamp. Nothing unclean and no one who does shameful things or tells lies will ever go into it. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life will enter the City. We want to walk earnestly with you on this earth and snatch the unredeemed from the flames of hell and eternal separation from You, Father. Keep us fervent in our witness and faithful in our service. In the blessed name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

-May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, and enough hope to make you happy-
